January 5, 20179 yr We have a little bit less than 2 weeks until the class is announced. Who do you think is in? From what I'm hearing Bagwell is a sure thing as well as Tim Raines (in his final year on the ballot). Trevor Hoffman appears to be very close as well. Surprisingly it seems as though voters appear to be moving past withholding votes from the steroid-tainted Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. Both seem to be gaining support and will likely get in--if not this year then soon. Who makes it?
January 6, 20179 yr Bagwell, Raines, and Pudge appear to be locks from what I've seen of the numbers. Hoffman and Vlad Guerrero are very close, and as you said, Bonds and Clemens have made huge gains.
January 18, 20179 yr Results are revealed tonight. Bagwell and Raines are locks at this point. Pudge is going to be close, but I think he manages to get in. Vlad and Hoffman appear to both come up just a bit short. Huge gains have held steady for Bonds, Clemens, Mussina, and Edgar.
January 18, 20179 yr Just got the phone notification that Raines, Bagwell and Pudge all made it. Good choices
January 18, 20179 yr Growing up in Houston and being a huge Astros fan couldn't be happier for Bagwell only fitting 2 of the most popular Astros (Biggio & Bagwell) are 1 & 2 into the HOF representing the Astros.
January 18, 20179 yr Bagwell — 86.2% Raines — 86 Rodriguez — 76 Hoffman — 74 — 5 votes shy Guerrero — 71.7 — 15 shy
January 18, 20179 yr Any Hall of Fame that doesn't include Bonds and Clemens is a sham. That's the primary reason why I hate baseball.
January 19, 20179 yr Any Hall of Fame that doesn't include Bonds and Clemens is a sham. That's the primary reason why I hate baseball. They'll get in before their eligibility is up.
January 19, 20179 yr So glad Raines got in. Was a pleasure to watch him play when baseball meant a lot more than it does now. Great team to watch. 3 HOF. On same team Raines Gary Carter Andre Dawson
January 19, 20179 yr Which of these players is a Hall of Famer? A: .287 AVG; 2,722 hits; 578 HR; 1,591 RBI; 489 SB B: 3.29 ERA; 1.18 WHIP; 3,307 SO; 237 Wins

January 19, 20179 yr I'm guessing that the HR stats are much higher on the list than the SB stats; but an impressive blend of power and speed.
