If she was choked, I don't think parents get arrested if it's just open hand spanking. She had to make it more than that when telling "Her Story" Daughter may have embellished the story, at least that would be my guess.

Sounds to me like the police at least believed her enough to go back to the house and make the arrest. Article also said there were marks from strikes on the upper and lower body of a strong enough red that they were likely to leave bruising as she healed.

I never hit my kids, but was spanked as a kid, so I don't see a big problem if all that was. I wonder what her story will be after a week in foster care. What is it with putting nude pictures of yourself on the internet? In my day you were mortified if your skirt blew up and boys saw your underwear.
