Here's Bracken County's scoring in quality wins:

 

Beechwood: Crawford 25, Jones 14, Engnes 7, Fisher 4, Fisher 2 (52)

 

Campbell County: Crawford 30, Fisher 15, Jones 12, Fisher 11, Engnes 7, Appleman 4 (81)

 

Against Beechwood the game was low scoring so they didn't need as much production from the whole team. But against Campbell the score was high so they needed production from everyone.

 

Bracken scored 29 more points in the Campbell game. Crawford scored 5 more points in the Campbell game. So take the numbers however you want.

I'd say the answer to most all of this thread was posted earlier in the post below. Actually makes more sense than all of the over-analyzing being done.

But I also think the post Opie quoted has a lot of truth in it as well. The troublesome thing for me, as a BC fan, is the margin of defeat against Russell.

 

Having said all of that, I think the schedule for the next handful of games is favorable for Bracken County. It wouldn't surprise me to see them put together a nice little January run.

This is only true IMO if you have legit 2nd and 3rd scoring options. Does BC have those against good teams?

 

Bracken lost its unquestioned #2 scoring option when Jacob Hamilton decided not to play this year. They have a couple of nice seniors in Engnes & Jones, but Hamilton's production has been really hard to replace.

 

At the end of the day, we're not even in January yet, so I am not worried. Polar Bears have shown they can get it done (Campbell County), but also that they can lay an egg (Russell). Many teams are in the same situation.

Wrong on that one. I posted the score and a very positive and encouraging information about Bracken beyond that. As for the other people posting here, I don't have a clue who they are with the exception of Randy, MCPapa, Older Coach and you.
