Covington Catholic at Beechwood Predictions

Featured Replies

Saturdays game showed that Bradon needs a blow from time to time to play at the level he does on both "D" and "O", having Joe spell him from time to time is the way to go. If I were the opposing team, I would hit Bradon on each and every play requiring him to pick himself up after each play be it on the O side or the D side of the ball. Not quite sure that he can last not only each game doing that, but I worry if he is strong enough to take the hits over the course of the season (remember he didn't play on the O side last year, or at least, not very much).... Going both ways against the competition that CovCath plays each week will be tough if Brandon is getting the number of plays on both sides of the ball that he got this week.......I am very much concerned about what kind of shape he will be in by the last game of the regular seaosn.....

Joe is such a pleasure to watch when he gets the ball in his hands and not only does he feel, but so do the fans, that he can score each time he does get that ball in his hands. I would love to see him on the "O" side of the ball, with Josh throwing him either a screen pass, or hitting him coming out of the back field. I also would use Joe as a decoy faking a reverse, as the "D" with him in the backfield, would have to have a man or two follow him at all times........ Is there really any reason why Joe is not playing on the "O" side of the ball.....Any reason at all????? Anyone???

Agreed to an extent on the Brandon front, only weighing 160 lbs and playing every play is a recipe for disaster( Injury). That being said he is the toughest 160 lbs kid you've ever met and if he could get more down time I think he would be fine. Since I started the comments with Joe C. I'll give my opinion and that's to say I have no idea why this kid does'nt play O. He is the fastest kid in the school, and as seen with him returning punts and kicks it's amazing to watch him with the ball. My only thought is that Rodenberg feels like he has a bunch of talent on offense and Joe is such a valuable defense and special teams player that he's just left him where he's comfortable. I believe however that you find anyway possible to get the fastest, best athelete in the school the ball as many time as you can !!!!!!

It definately will be a tough game for the Tigers, but a shutout? The Tigers got shut out last week for the first time in 7 years. Don't see it happening two weeks in a row.

In retrospect, you're probably right. Although I think that if CCH's defense wants to make a statement, this is a good time.

That is true. Hopefully no big statements will be made from the blue side of the field:banana:

We'll see. :ylsuper: I'm just excited to finally watch CCH play a game on a Friday night this year.

BTW Beechwood is hosting some troops from Fort Bragg that are going to Iraq and are selling T-shirts and dogtags. CovCath sold shirts and made over $2500, although I think B-wood sold a lot more. I heard that the governor and some congressmen should be there, and even that President Bush received an invite. Should be an awesome atmosphere.

Cov. Cath. 28-14.

I dont think CovCath or Beechwood will have much offense. Beechwood's defense is much tougher than people think, yet CovCath has a great one also. I think it will be a conservatively played game by both coaches and CovCath wins 13-7.

If CovCath only scores 13 than Rodenberg will make the team jog back to CCH down Dixie Highway. :D

Something tells me that President Bush won't be there, but that he'd be pulling for the Colonels in this one. ;)

I've gotta go with CCH by virtue of a 3rd quarter TD run by Joe C of 68 yards to spark the Colonel offense.

CCH - 24

Beechwood - 14

should be a great game for both teams but i think cch will pull of the win to 33-28

Now that's a pretty specific prediction re: six of the Colonel's points. If the game is not close, it goes CovCath's way.

Covington Catholic - 35

Beechwood - 7

Beechwood scores late.

If CovCath only scores 13 than Rodenberg will make the team jog back to CCH down Dixie Highway. :D

Haha:laugh:

Friday Night... Its defentally going to be the place to be at. I heard that the govenor was coming, does anyone know if thats true?
