December 19, 20169 yr The offensive output for these teams is a direct result of the NCAA cleaning up the fouls that defensive players use to get away with. This game had better flow than any I've seen in many years.
December 19, 20169 yr I think Cal had it a little wrong when he said before the season that this might be the best defensive team at UK since he's been there. I think it's the worst. Wow, can we learn to rebound and box out and for the love of god keep Gabriel and Humphries on the bench!!! Lol And put who in for Gabriel and Humphries? Willis? Jones? No thanks, I'll keep working on developing Gabriel and Jones.
December 19, 20169 yr Monk is a killer. Stone cold killer. If he was 6'6" he might be the top pick in the draft. Fox is smooth. I had no idea he had the stats he had until late in the game. I thought Briscoe was solid, especially on the boards. The bigs have to start producing though. Bam will get there. Willis is what he is, he'll shoot well enough to win a few games and then disappear for a few. Love Gabriel's hustle but he's really raw. Hope he stays for another year, think he'd benefit a ton. For the love of all that is holy please start playing Killeya-Jones more. Gonna need him at some point. Humphreys has his merits but he's not always the best matchup to put in off the bench. UNC is good. For my money better than last year. They have some dudes who can get buckets. I'm not sure we will see much from Jones this season, Coach Payne may need a full off season to develop him.

I'm having trouble deciding that myself. The 2011 game was essentially the pre-National Title game (thanks Creighton for taking out Kendall Marshall and ruining a rematch) and this years could potentially be a pre-National Championship as well. Hard to pick as both were 2 of the better games this century.

December 21, 20169 yr Watching the game again. The crossover and then up and under by Fox about halfway through the first half was a thing of beauty.
