Yes sir. As they should since both feel it is in their teams/programs best interest, and looking at the facts, it is hard to argue with them.

I wouldn't consider losing by 6 points to Mason County in the first round of the district last year a smackdown unless of course you consider the 7 point beating Bracken just put on the Camels a Smackdown.

Yes sir. As they should since both feel it is in their teams/programs best interest, and looking at the facts, it is hard to argue with them.

 

Agree 1000 percent. As I've often said before, until the Association mandates seeding statewide, I can't fault a school for doing what's right for them.

I love and respect your common sense.

For those who bemoan the draw, let's look at it from the tiny school's perspective. Here are their choices.

 

A. We should vote to seed because it will probably advance the two best teams in our district into the regional tournament; and that will make the regional tournament stronger. We don't care if we don't get to play in it - it's the strength and integrity of the 10th that's at stake.

 

B. We should vote to draw because it gives our school a better chance to advance into the regional tournament, add significant dollars to our coffers and give our players, students and supporters a game on what will probably be our biggest stage. We don't care if we get beat by 50 - it's the livelihood of our school that's at stake.

 

Easy decision.
