Active Stabber on Campus at Ohio State

Remember as stories come out they tend to take a life of their own. Fire alarm was at another building unrelated, shots fired were from the police, and the machete was a kitchen knife.

Again the officer took control and ended it.

At first glance, it appears the response to this was about as good as you could hope for. The university, response agencies, staff and students seemed to keep things as calm and safe as possible. that probably saved lives, the police office that shot and killed the aggressor appears to have acted decisively and effectively. Kudos to that person. probably saved either lives or more injuries.

He went to a gunfight with a knife. I'd hope it ended swiftly.

Great job by the first responders. Talked to all of my buddies that are around campus up in Columbus and they're all safe. One of them had walked right past that building only 5 minutes before the attach. Scary stuff. Praying that those injured are ok.

He took him out faster than you could take out a #9 incisor.

Abdul Artan is the suspect, OSU student, age 18, Somali/Pakistan refugee.
