Has there ever been a female player in a state championship football game?

Featured Replies

Maddie Alexander is the starting placekicker for the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats. Does anyone know if she will be the first female to play in a state championship football game in Kentucky?

Great Question. Busting through the glass ceiling

What do girls know about football anyway?! :lol2:

Does she do kickoffs or just extra points and field goals?

Extra points and field goals.

I'd say kicking through the glass ceiling!

Extra points and field goals.

How many field goals has she made? Yardage?

Hope she makes history and kicks a game winner

She hit a 24 yard FG from the left hash in the Greenwood game. It would have been good from 35-40 yds. Don't recall any other attempts.

Maybe Beechwood will use their freshman female kicker first, on Friday!

Hazard also has one . Brittany Miniard is backup kicker, and she can boot it!
