I didn't click on the link yet but the most shared political/campaign news stories on FB in 2016 were fake. That's where we're at. You find something to support your view and then share it.

I hear 'ya. You can't blame Facebook either. Their content, for the most part is user generated, and goes "viral" via users.

 

But, we see it here too. The guys in that article aspire to be like Alex Jones. Guess who gets linked here as a credible source very often?

Do you actually expect average citizens to fact check, when most "major media" outlets do little but spew agenda driven "facts"?

I'd much rather have fake news out there than any form of censorship that has been called for , I don't want the government or some media conglomerate telling me what is real or isn't. Give me all the info and I'm intelligent enough to figure it out.

Agreed it was very scary seeing politicians and even some in the media discussing some form of censorship.
