Where will this game be played? Does CAL have their own field or do they share one?

 

CAL has a very nice field on their campus. Just installed state of the are turf before this season.

CAL has a very nice stadium. 2 things though. Their visitors side is pretty small, don't know how many Mayfield faithful plan on making the trip, but they have plenty of room to stand on the track. Also they have plenty of parking, HOWEVER.....if it's crowded, the way the lot is setup it will take you forever to get out. Park in the field as soon as you turn in, and walk a little farther to the gate. It's worth it.

That's it. They have a huge campus. If your routing takes you on I-265 N from I-64 you'll see the stadium from there before exiting.

Sounds similar to Kentucky Country Day's campus, very nice campus.

Last night he lined up on the left. Their guy on the right is a good one too. Throw in Olsofka at DT, and they are just crazy good.

 

How would you rate CAL's DLine this year versus DeSales DLine last year? MF's Oline is essentially the same, but a year older, wiser, and better. I'm thinking that might be the best metric in figuring out where we stack up.

As a DeSales fan, I think CALs DL is much better. They're bigger and more athletic. They have 2 division 1 players in Olsafka and Paulson. That's one of the best defensive lines I've seen at the small school level.

Olsofka's dad played at Mayfield... That's why he's good....

Ok so a 3-7 Highlands put up 53 pts against Simon Keaton who clearly had a running clock against CAL. Desales fans please tell me what I'm missing?? Your telling me that a bad Highlands team, which seems to be rare btw, can put up 53 pts against a team that slaughtered CAL?? So your telling me that in essence a 3-7 regular season Highlands team could beat you guys by 2 touchdowns or more?

John Olsafka, a Dr. in Louisville, he is a Mayfieldian, was a lineman in the mid 1980's. I believe he graduated in 1986

We have watched DeSales and CAL play, at CAL last year, nice newer facility. Parking was at school then walk around some soccer or baseball fields, cant be sure which. Visitors side is the side you will walk up on.

CAL will be a tough out no doubt but we will have a lot of upside in Our Drive For 5!

These teams are coached by 2 of the top coaches in the state. I think CAL is an emerging power. They will only be getting better in future years IMO.
