Donald Trump will govern more from the center than anyone in my lifetime.

 

 

The problem with the left is that even moderate leftist are so far out of whack and have been given so much, that center is way right to them. They have compromised 0 in 8 years.

Here is where things stand.

 

1. Cable networks are now basically discredited and they have lost their insider position since all the power relations were with the Dem national machinary. So they will attack the emerging, growing, 'alternative' media outlets like Brietbart, RT, etc.

 

2. The Dems will need to keep a strangle hold on black voting block and they will need the majority position with the Latino voting block. Any substantial defection in those two groups will have severe negative impact on the Dems national level power. Hence you get the label of 'White' (to instill fear in the black block) 'Nationalist' (code word for anti-Latino in their thought process).

 

So the new labels that are being used include 'White Nationalist' and 'alt-right'. I am sure 'isolationist' and other fear mongering labels would also be used if had some value to the two issues above. Now since Trump is Caucasian and he does (and always had) a very strong US-first stance he will be labeled - 'White Nationalist' - and he technically is. Thus, along a term that seems completely manufactured as a last gasp effort to further divide a nation for the purposes of political power - 'alt-right' - we now have the new narrative for the next four years.

 

I just can not get over how 'manufactured' this 'alt-right' term is. Its the modern version of 'assault weapon' - a term specifically designed by Josh Sugermann to scare people. Scaring people seems to be the go-to approach for some.

 

Its all about retaining power and control of money. Will it work in what is hopefully the post-divide-and-conquer political world? It might if people just accept these labels from declining (national Dems) and discredited (cable news) entities.

If the label were such a manufactured pejorative by liberal puppeteers then why would Bannon refer to Breitbart as "the platform of the alt-right" and why did Breitbart publish a sympathetic explainer/defense of the "alt-right" back in March, full of fawning praise of movement "intellectuals" and their websites, which are too repugnant to link here?

And it's not just liberals. This is a pretty in-depth story on conservative Ben Shapiro's departure from Breitbart over its re-make into a Trump propaganda machine. I don't agree with Shapiro on much, but he makes mincemeat of Milo Yiannopoulos. Not the least of which is because Shapiro notes the young men brigading Jews on Twitter about being sent to the ovens, who Yiannopoulos says are merely "being mischevious," will have to grow up and get jobs one day with that sort of vitriol attached to their online footprint.

Please dig. I welcome the digging from someone I know is as thorough as you are. Your son has the same definition that millions of people have for the Alt Right. And everyone should keep in mind that Bannon openly embraces being a leader and voice of the Alt Right. That cannot be denied.

Seems this whole 'alt-right' is something about 'anti-establishment' at least. And it was around before August (the earliest referenced material in wikipedia).

 

I can not believe Trump would embrace someone who is as bad as characterized. I can believe he picked 'alternate media' person for key role just to stick it to the establishment media (aka MSM).
