Head of Brietbart and one of the instrumental members of Trump's successful campaign has been named Trump's Chief Strategist.

 

For those that dont know, Steve Bannon is a figure head of the Alt-Right movement and believed by many to be a racist, anti-Semite. What people choose to call it remains to be seen. If we are going to move forward in this world where political correctness no longer applies and folks are easily offended and sensitive then Steve Bannon is what you would call a white nationalist.

 

In other words this is the equivalent of Obama naming Reverend Wright his Chief Strategist.

Trump's daughter is Jewish. Benjamin Netanyahu was one of the first people Trump talked to after winning the election and during his discussion, he referred to Israel as a "beacon of hope" in the Middle East.

 

I am not concerned that Trump's views or his policies toward Israel will be anti-Semitic and I would bet that Netanyahu will be greatly relieved when Obama gets on the helicopter bound for Andrews AFB for his last round of golf.

 

No American president has strained our relationship with Israel as much as Obama has.

I don't know much about him...I'll read up on him both criticisms that PP92 pointed out and praises and see what he's really about. Is he "Rev. Wright" ? I don't know yet, but that on the surface serms to be a strong bit of hyperbole.

I am saying that Bannon will have no influence over this nation's policy toward Israel or this country's Jewish population. I had a lot of reservations about voting for Trump, but his being under the spell of a Jeremiah Wright-class anti-Semite was not one of them.

Republicans will not tolerate Trump treating Israel the way that Obama has and I doubt that his daughter Ivanka will either.

I've gotten a lot of my info on him from twitter. Roland Martin and Ben Shapiro mainly. They have both been discussing it and linking articles previously written about Bannon.

 

Shaun King is also tweeting out a bunch of stuff as well. If I am not mistaken Bannon is the one who made the huge deal of Shaun King's race and background.

That concerns me deeply and was one of my fears of a Trump cabinet. Haven't some white people had concerns about Obama's administration the past 8 years and their moral compasses? This is what I'm seeing so far. It seems more a strategic move to bound the Republicans together considering he was being recommended by the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. I will continue to look for an anti-semitic stance by him. If you're right PP92, alongside with the VP-elect's stance on LGBT it is worrisome. I'm not gonna pull a Van Jones and say this was a "white-lash". Considering many people who voted for Pres. Obama once and twice voted for Trump, my curiosity is what people were willing to look over in order to give a middle finger to the "establishment".
