True. I agree with what you said earlier about nothing being surprising at this point.

This is an interesting thought. The Big 10 may get 2 teams in the playoff and it won't be Ohio State and Michigan. Let's say Clemson loses another game that knocks them out. UofL jumps in. Bama is in. Ohio State if they beat Michigan is in, but they won't be the Big 10 Champion most likely. The Big 10 Champ game will be Penn State and Wisconsin. The winner of that game has a is competing with the PAC 12 winner and the BIG 12 winner. It would be hard to pick against Wisconsin or Penn State at this point. This is only applicable if Clemson loses another game because UofL would get in over Wisconsin/ Penn State.

I think UofL is a WAY better team than Clemson, but neither team has a really good win except for the head to head win Clemson has over UofL. I think the committee will find it hard to move UofL ahead simply because of this. I hope they do because I think UofL is REALLY good.

Another thing to consider is that Ohio State and Michigan have yet to play and both have one loss for now. You won't find a two loss team in the top four, I don't care who they are. JMO.

They're not a bad team by any stretch but all four of their losses still happened and they got absolutely pasted by a pretty mediocre Miami team just a week ago. It's not a good loss.

Their defense is total garbage

I think Louisville stands no chance of getting in IF Clemson wins out. Two things factor into that !0 is obvious head to head 2) out of conference win over Auburn is better than any win Louisville has or will have against out of conference.

 

Houston falling off the map killed Louisville. I believe they are going to have to pick up one out of conference game in the future against and upper tier team in the 5 major conferences. Maybe that have corrected that, I haven't seen their schedule in future years.

 

Ohio State beating Oklahoma also helps them against Louisville. Louisville may be the 2nd best team in the nation, however, I just don't see them making it due to schedule mostly.
