OU passes it to me, but there resume is garbage and the eye test against a bunch of Big 12 teams shouldn't mean much. I thought Oklahoma was the best team going into the playoffs last year and they proved to me that you can never trust the Big 12.

To me, how the B1G unfolds is the most interesting story line. If tOSU wins against UM, they have to like their chances of getting in, regardless if they win the conference title. Of course they will need Wisconsin to beat PSU.

I think if Wisconsin wins the B1G, then I would bet money that the B1G gets 2 teams in. If you made me bet some money on things right now about how the rest of the season will play out, I would go 1) Bama 2) OSU 3) UofL 4) Wisconsin. I think Clemson loses another game, I just don't think they are that good I see them losing the ACC Champ game to VT or UNC. I think Washington loses again, but even if they don't I feel confident in saying they would put Wisconsin in over Washington. Honestly I think Wisconsin will be ahead of Washington in the rankings this week.

That is the best case scenario for your Cards. You need whoever wins the Ohio State/ Michigan game to win the Big 10 so Wisconsin isn't floating around with the title of Big 10 Champion.

It would shock me. The Spartans are all sorts of awful.

 

I think Wake is more likely to beat Clemson this weekend than Sparty is to knock off Penn State, inasmuch as I don't think either is at all likely.

 

But Wake would be ideal as then UofL is back in position to play for the ACC title.

On the record right now: If ANY 2 loss team gets in the Top4 above a 1 loss UofL team (with that only loss being @Clemson in a barn burner), then the system is garbage and the committee is weak sauce.

I think Wisconsin has a great case to get over UofL, but I know that opinion isn't shared amongst many on here. UofL is without a doubt in my mind better than Wisconsin. But Wisconsin's resume will be a lot better.

If it was my decision I would have it like this.

 

1. Alabama

Clemson is in if they win out.

Louisville gets the last spot if they win out.

 

Big 12 and Pac 12 are out.

 

If Clemson loses again I'm not 100% who I would give the last spot to.

Nebraska got a ton of credit early on for beating a lousy Oregon team. That turned Nebraska into a great midseaon win for several B1G teams. Wisconsin got loads of credit for beating an LSU team that would fire their coach just weeks later and a Michigan State team that was top ten at the time that would go on to win precisely zero more games until Rutgers last week.

 

College football doesn't afford an equitable distribution of schedule and we should start talking about these things like we're smart people that can read statistics.

I don't Nebraska got credit for the Oregon win as much as they did everyone else losing and them still having a 0 in the loss column. The Big 10 West isn't nearly as bad as the SEC East.
