November 11, 20169 yr I doubt it, I thought both Bernie and Biden would. I don't think so now. He ran an effective campaign.
November 11, 20169 yr Author So who do you all think would have beaten him? Mark Cuban? Jerry Springer?
November 11, 20169 yr So who do you all think would have beaten him? Mark Cuban? Jerry Springer? Sarcasm aside, Obama only, in my estimation would have, but that does not address the question.
November 11, 20169 yr But he was perceived differently by many. Plus, Joe Biden is certainly establishment but a majority of people think he would have crushed Trump. Science the majority of people thought Trump would not even be close in the primaries vs the 16 best politicians Washington had. Everyone laughed at him. Then he won. Then nobody said he had no chance vs Hillary. None. All the pollsters, BGP liberals, CNN etc said he had no chance, none. What happened? Lined them up and kicked their butt. Joe Biden would have suffered the same fate and nobody would have saw it coming.
November 11, 20169 yr Yes. Two words - free stuff. College age kids love free stuff. This 62 year old white man loves free stuff, also. If someone wants me to provide me something free I take it.
November 11, 20169 yr Yes. Two words - free stuff. College age kids love free stuff. Telling them what they want to hear, exactly like DJT. Doesn't seem to matter if it's reasonable, does it?
November 12, 20169 yr There you go. That would have been the word. SOCIALIST. Thanks Dino. Bernie calls himself a socialist...he is and is proud of it. I like his honesty. I just disagree with almost everything he says...Trump would have beaten him too BTW...
November 12, 20169 yr I think Trump would have beaten any Dem this year. The Dem Party missed the Rust Belt displeasure and that is what won the election for Trump. Trump tapped into a group of voters that have been ignored, by both sides, for years.
November 12, 20169 yr But he was perceived differently by many. Plus, Joe Biden is certainly establishment but a majority of people think he would have crushed Trump. That same majority of people thought Hillary would be President Elect, right now.
November 12, 20169 yr Biden is establishment, though. I, too, believe that Biden would have won. Easily, in fact. You Were Also supremely confident that Trump would lose to Hillary.
November 12, 20169 yr But he was perceived differently by many. Plus, Joe Biden is certainly establishment but a majority of people think he would have crushed Trump. You, along with many others, thought Hillary would crush Trump also.
November 12, 20169 yr But he was perceived differently by many. Plus, Joe Biden is certainly establishment but a majority of people think he would have crushed Trump. A majority of people thought Hillary would win too.
November 12, 20169 yr I have no idea about Bernie, but it is an interesting question because Bernie is about as much a Democrat and Trump is a Republican. There's a lot to be said about the lack of potential candidates the Republicans could have put forward, but at the same time, this election was a lot closer than people are giving credit. Given Hilary both was disliked by so many and even with those who supported did so with such a lack of enthusiasm, I don't think it's a stretch to think that the!average Democrat nominee would have won. Regardless of the outcome, we were looking at the two most disliked major party nominees were our choices. I think 2000 Gore and 2004 Kerry would have won with ease. I have nothing to back this up but my opinion, but ultimately the exercise is fruitless, because off the top of my head, outside of Biden I can't come up with a noteworthy Democrat.
November 12, 20169 yr Apparently the Democratic hierarchy and media elite that did everything they could to deny him the nomination didn't think so; so why should we think he could have??
