2006: CovCath 26 Bowling Green 7

1994: CovCath 24 Bowling Green 21

That 1994 game was especially painful. As I recall BG ended the game at the CovCath 1 yard line at Old Cardinal Stadium.

In 2006 we were just beat.

Never underestimate playing on the day after Thanksgiving 4 hours away. Getting out of a routine does weird things to teams. I know that Mayfield and Beechwood have done it, and Bell Co. and Central, but has BG ever had to travel this far for a semi final game?

How far of a drive is it from BG to Covington?

This is mostly for fun, since they wouldn't actually play in the Title game this year, buuuuuuut:

All of that said, and again, just having some fun with FC...the answer to the thread is "NO", no one in KY 5A can play Bowling Green to a single-digit loss. Not played in Park Hills. Not played in Beverly Hills. Not with an Anthem sung by Beverly Sills (RIP).

I think if the game is played, it would be a lot closer than people realize. Bowling Green is dang good. However since St.X was missing their qb when they played. I think CovCath would be the best team they seen this year. I think CovCaths overall schedule actually would have them better prepared competition wise. That doesn't mean CovCath wins, but I think it's better than people think.

Only team to beat BG will be BG

And we are not sure BG could even beat BG.

No but they have traveled to Chattanooga for a game during the regular season.

About 3 and a half hours.

If CovCath/BG play I'm sad I'll have to miss the game. Work.

4 Hours - It's 2 hours from BG to Louisville. It's an hour and a half from Louisville to Park Hills (Covington Catholic) and around a half hour to manouver around the Gene Snyder Expressway (I-265).

Cov. Catholic could most certainly give the Purples a game or even beat them.

I'm curious if Fern Creek could beat Cov. Catholic in the round before?

Watt,

That would be an interesting game and would be in Louisville. Fern Creek has a good defense, but still think they are pretty limited on the offensive side of the ball and would definitely label CovCath as the favorite.

Mex,

Not recently, but this team just made the trip to McCracken County (Paducah) in Week 10, which is about 1 hour less travel than BG to CovCath.

It is definitely a factor though, but feel BG will prepare for it.

Question for CovCath fans:

I have noticed in the past Northern Kentucky has played many "early" playoff games. For example, Highlands hosted Pulaski County last season the day after Thanksgiving and I "believe" that game started about 2 or 3 pm. My question is:

Is this practice common for CovCath as well?

I know the Colonels recently got new lights and needed to play earlier before then. Maybe that precident hasn't been set yet because of the new lights? Just curious.

Also, in this scenario would CovCath reach out to BG to ask if they wanted to do this? And if BG didn't agree, then it would be 7/7:30 that night? Just curious. Thanks

I would guess that to be a Saturday game
