November 9, 20169 yr Mr Trump did not win on policy. Correct, he won on failed policies and a runaway political system that people are tired of.
November 9, 20169 yr I'm not debating his racism. There's no need to. If you don't think he's made it clear, discussing it with you is remarkably pointless.
November 9, 20169 yr I can't wait for America to be Great again. There's gonna be a wall paid by the Mexican government, health care that will be competitive and low which serves everyone's needs, coal industry saved, my taxes lowered like never before, no illegals entering the country, deporting all that are here illegally. ISIS will be obliterated and gone because DT knows how to do this better than our Generals. ...and the debt will be greatly reduced id not gone. Jobs, jobs, jobs for everyone. I can't wait! It's gonna be great! Did you hold Obama equally culpable for his campaign promises?
November 9, 20169 yr Correct, he won on failed policies and a runaway political system that people are tired of. He ran on "I'm not them" and never had to say how he was going to accomplish his goals. People complain about debt growing yet voted for a guy whose tax plan has no chance of doing anything but increase debt. This was an "anyone but...." vote.
November 9, 20169 yr Yeah how is he openly racist? Where is the link proving he is openly racist? I'll say this. While maybe not openly racist, there are plenty of examples out there that at the very least show he's completely racially insensitive if not downright racist.
November 9, 20169 yr I'm not debating his racism. There's no need to. If you don't think he's made it clear, discussing it with you is remarkably pointless. The worst part of his campaign was his approach towards minorities. We can all disagree on tax policy, how to handle immigration, NAFTA, etc. Normal and doesn't speak negatively towards Mr Trump. What does speak negatively towards him is his "be afraid of ...." mantra.
November 9, 20169 yr I'm not debating his racism. There's no need to. If you don't think he's made it clear, discussing it with you is remarkably pointless. You said he was openly racist. I was looking for your proof of that. Not wanting illegals to just come in, not wanting Muslims in without vetting them isnt too racist to me.
November 9, 20169 yr He ran on "I'm not them" and never had to say how he was going to accomplish his goals. People complain about debt growing yet voted for a guy whose tax plan has no chance of doing anything but increase debt. This was an "anyone but...." vote. It was an anti-establishment vote. People are fed up with status quo.
November 9, 20169 yr It was an anti-establishment vote. People are fed up with status quo. Fine. It wasn't on policy though.
November 9, 20169 yr You said he was openly racist. I was looking for your proof of that. Not wanting illegals to just come in, not wanting Muslims in without vetting them isnt too racist to me. I do not know if he is a racist. I do know he played to racist fears.
November 9, 20169 yr You said he was openly racist. I was looking for your proof of that. Not wanting illegals to just come in, not wanting Muslims in without vetting them isnt too racist to me. So you'd agree that it's at least a little bit racist?
November 9, 20169 yr You said he was openly racist. I was looking for your proof of that. Not wanting illegals to just come in, not wanting Muslims in without vetting them isnt too racist to me. Again. It's not like it's a hidden agenda. He's racist, and has made that pretty clear. And "isn't too racist" proves my point. Thank you.
November 9, 20169 yr How is he openly racist? Yeah how is he openly racist? Where is the link proving he is openly racist? It's a complex answer. During his campaign he used a rhetoric that harkened back to the days of the 1950/1960s when civil rights were a hot button issue. He stoked an entire voting base with his rhetoric. Restoring law and order, restoring the stop and frisk policy from Rudy G's time as the mayor of New York. Stop and frisk was deemed unconditional as over 80% of the people that were stopped and frisked were black or Latino. The outright hate and bigotry that was prevalent at his rallies was encouraged by Trump. The images of the black woman being assaulted by the crowd in Louisville and the black man being assaulted in the arena was encouraged by Trump. The KKK and white nationalists openly declaring their love for Trump to "make America great again" and some of those folks claiming to have met with people from Trump's campaign. I find it more interesting that people felt the need to overlook all of this and still don't believe his easy to see overt racism. Just because he isn't out slinging n words all over the place doesn't mean he isn't racist. Keep in mind his one plea for the black vote...."Vote for Trump. What do you have to lose?" Obama was never as divisive as Trump was during his campaign. His speech last night was a total 180 from the way he carried himself during his campaign. Not one time has he preached about uniting the country and calling for everyone to work together. He spent his whole campaign tapping into a voting base using fear and hatred and it won him the election. The people have spoken.
November 9, 20169 yr I'm not debating his racism. There's no need to. If you don't think he's made it clear, discussing it with you is remarkably pointless. you said the above. I am casually asking where he has been blatantly racist? Curious is all. Just bc his views doesn't fall in line with yours, doesn't make someone racist etc.
November 9, 20169 yr I'll say this. While maybe not openly racist, there are plenty of examples out there that at the very least show he's completely racially insensitive if not downright racist. Absolutely.
