Dave Chappelle to host SNL on 11/12

The election party skit was, as someone said, on point with the reactions of the cast and their "feelings" expressed...but funny? Nope...just wasn't humorous. Heck, even the audience struggled to laugh, go back and watch it on Youtube. It got a couple of chuckles from me, but that was it. It COULD have been funny, but to me it just wasn't.

Everyone's humor is different. The line about KY had me crying.

I saw a news report about how offended some people from Kentucky are... I laughed at the joke and never thought twice about it. Appreciate satire, people. Even if that is their true feelings, who cares?

Obviously not directed at PP92, just piggybacking.

Exactly. :thumb:

That was expected. None of it offended me...I just didn't think the skit itself was all that funny, and neither did the audience. There was plenty there to work with for sure, just didn't hit my funny bone. And Chappells delivery was way off.

Now, some of the Baldwin/Trump stuff, especially the skit about the town hall debate...comedy gold. And my dislike for Baldwin is pretty big.

I think the election skit should have taken place at Hillary's hotel suite, showing her reactions throughout the night. That could have been SNL gold.

Like I said earlier, everyone's sense of humor is different.

The monologue was amazing. Some of the skits fell short but still a lot of funny. I was reminded that SNL is really off from its heyday. Most of all, I miss The Chappelle Show.

Just watched the monologue, found it to be very good, just not very funny for the most part. Love Chappelle. He mentioned Cincinnati being his home? Than he said he was from Washington. I did see him land from LA into Cincy one night and googled and he was not performing in town.

Ever since I stopped babysitting in early high school I pretty much stopped watching SNL. Only see clips when folks post them now.

Originally from DC. Interesting to call Cincinnati his home because he lives way up in Yellow Springs.

True. I imagine if he says he lives in Yellow Springs then folks will be camped out there waiting to see him at Walmart. :lol2:

Hearing Netflix has announced three Dave Chappelle comedy specials coming up in the future.

...I still laugh about once a day at the Wu-Tang/ISIS bit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! :lol2:
