I would assume those are owned by Comedy Central. Considering they were able to package and sell the unaired material over his objections back when the show ended, I can't imagine he has much control. Still, this is absolutely must-see TV.

With the exception of Tom Hanks last week, this season has been a little slow, but it's still well worth watching when you have the option to fast forward. I've been really let down with the Weekend Update this season, in particular. It's all political commentary, which is kind of low hanging fruit, if you ask me. This is the first time in the course of 20-ish years of my watching SNL where I've felt like the weekend update was consistently subpar. I've also been a little disappointed by the fact that they are putting in 2 or more "digital shorts" in each episode. The digital shorts are always top notch, but they do away with the draw of the LIVE aspect of the show.

Too much partying on Saturday nights and my DVR is already filled up with WWE and Conspiracy Shows. LOL

Dave is a smart cat though. If he wants to recreate a character he will find a legal way to do it. Instead of Clayton Bigsby the blind black white supremacist it could be Billy Ray the deaf black Trump supporter or something like that. :lol2: There's no telling what we will see on Saturday. The monologue too?!?!?!? :lol2:

November 13, 20169 yr The monologue was awesome. I loved the part where he talked about watching the white riot in Portland Oregon. And his comment about staying in the Trump hotel ... which I can't share here.
November 13, 20169 yr Author The monologue was amazing. Some of the skits fell short but still a lot of funny. I was reminded that SNL is really off from its heyday. Most of all, I miss The Chappelle Show.
