Trinity 28 Manual 3

Wade (Ryan's older brother) kicked at U of L, and U of L is in need. I belive that we will see another Tydlacka in Red and White.....our kicking game is sick right now...funny thing, IMO, I think that Zlaton Petrovic has the stronger leg...he hit a 57 yarder during halftime last night, and while warming up for kickoffs he booted two over the fence through the end zone.

Why would Tydlacka want to belittle himself by going to Uof L? Why not Notre Dame or Tennessee or Texas A&M ?

Tom Jurich, Bobby Petrino, Bush/Brohm and Co...are taking U of L right up there with the top, I believe they are better than UT and A & M right now.

What ever happend to Karl Heinz-Williams? That boy should have been playing college ball.

Karl went to JCC to get himself eligible lost focus...so then went into the reserves, straightened himself out, got back into school, even met with U of L's coaches....It didn't work out right. Anyway, as of now, I believe that he is in school part time and has a full time job at a retail store here in Louisville

What grade is Bobby Petrino Jr?

A sophomore #17....and an absolute head hunter...he rang some serious bells last night.

He is a sophomore and is listed as 5'8", 160 lb., in T's program.

Trinity's defense was definitely the most impressive element on the field last night. And that number 5 was dang good for T. Manual's defense did better than I thought they would, but the offense did worse. They put together better efforts as the game progressed, but still, It hurt to see that lonesome 3 on the scoreboard for Manual. There were a lot of missed opportunities for both sides. Once again, all I can hope is that they learn from this and go on to put up a nice fight against Warren Central.

Manual couldn't punch it in, but moved the ball pretty well in the second half. As for the offensive playbook, I could see a switch to a spread option if we start getting more kids that can run and catch... Right now we have maybe two serious recieving options. But the young QB impressed me last night. In fact, the whole young team impressed me last night; except for a fumble after gaining the first down, Manual could have gone into the half only down 7-3. The both lines are the weakness for Manual right now, that's just going to take time, and I don't mean later in the season.

I was unimpressed by Nick Petrino last night. Manual dropped two interceptions that were gimmies, one a jumped route by a linebacker that Petrino was baited into throwing badly. He played like he was distracted. He did well on pulling the ball down and running, but he's a better player than he showed last night. That's probably why the coaches had him in in the 4th quarter with a 25 point lead and two minutes to go. It DOES NOT explain their decision to go for it on 4th down, but whatever.

The bottom line is that Trinity dominated in the trenches, and #5 broke some big runs late (he had probably had 80 yards on that last drive) but if Trinity had been playing a more experienced team, like X or H, they lose badly last night.

Props to me for PREDICTING the blocked punt and 3rd quarter hot head attack. Trinity did manage to shoot several bullets into their own foot.. like the housewarming gift on the opening kickoff. Still enough ammo left to put a pretty good lickin on the Ramolas. Maybe T does lose if they're playing another school last night... but they were not, so that path need not be taken. Bottom line is with an OK perfomance they win easily.

Right now Trinity is a loose array of talent, youth and numbers. They are not yet, in my opinion, a dangerous team but as the season wears on could easily develop into one. Only time will tell. Their D is playing aggressively and the mistakes seem to be decreasing. They have some hitters. Just ask #86 on Manual. He quit his dancing and twirling after the drilling he took.

If 02Ram54 is implying that T did not show sportsmanship, what about T downing the ball twice at the end of the game and the cheap shot by Manual's DB (for which he was ejected)? I will agree with him that N. Petrino did not look impressive. Manual fought gamely and is well coached. They have some good talent. I look for both teams to improve considerably.

Come on now. We are trying to get our Offense in synch. Of course we are going to play our starting QB. And what 4th down play are you talking about? If it was to keep the ball out of Manual's hands, that's the correct thing to do. Is this the best you can do to tarnish this win since the tape trade thingy went out the window when your coach declined our offer? :D

Maybe, maybe not. Having a defense gives the O time to get in synch. One thing is for sure, 10 out of 10 times, Trinity beats Manual. 8 out of 10 times they beat them by a MUCH larger margin. Will this be a long season for the goats. Looks like it...

Tydlacka is a great punter. And Trinity will have a good kicker next year with Zlaton. However Tydlacka still has the better leg on kicks, he was not pounding yesterday like he normally does, but still has a stronger leg than the rest. And when he does not kick them in endzone he gets great height. Your right Zlaton was banging them yesterday, I love to see him kick too.

Does Tydlacka have offers from ND,Tenn, Texas A&M????

Didn't I say that I understood that Petrino needed to be in there? I would have played him if the score were 63-3, because he looked like he needed the time. The fourth down play I was talking about was in the 4th quarter, about two minutes left. After both teams were playing their 2nd stringers (Petrino, as noted, an exception.) And why do you think I'm trying to 'tarnish' the win, since I've been pretty vocal that I would like this series to continue? I know you private school guys are a little paranoid, but there's no need to swing at shadows. Ask Rockpride- I have nothing against Trinity.

Please.

You're going to try and taunt me about Manual not being very good? I don't know where you've been, that you haven't heard, but no one is expecting them to be this season. I certainly am not. And part of that is bad news for the Rocks, because Trinity should have beaten a not very good team in a much more commanding fashion.

And I don't think the defense was that great. Like I said, Manual (as long a season as they will have, as you pointed out) did move the ball. Manual had more passing yards than Trinity in the same number of attempts, not exactly the Crimson strong point.
