Where to you get your facts? From a lil' birdie? Were you listening in on the conversation between the 2 schools? If there was talk of postponement earlier in the week, I'd say it would have been leaked somewhere during the week. Either on here, with the players, or with the coaches and it wasn't. Just because someone you consider a good source whispers something in your eye, it does not mean it's fact.

LRCW, is correct. I think given GIAT's connections we can feel assured that Russell agreed to the postponment. If they were not happy about it then why agree to it.

 

I think they should have played but I think Russell is also guilty. Russell could have forced their hand. Don't just blame Ashland.

I went to the Raceland/ East game last night and not one person who was there could believe Ashland cancelled the game. Yes I said Ashland CANCELLED. To get to EAST CARTERS field you had to go thru a construction zone and walk thru mud. The field wasnt much better, but they were there to cheer the RAMS. Oh did i forget to mention that the East and Raceland JFL will play 6 games onit today. WOW.... Maybe we should add the EastCarter stadium to the most "BESTEST" places to play. There field was in GREAT shape compared to ASHLANDS, how bout a re-vote.

At this point it doesn't really matter who & why it was cancelled...I think we were ALL a little miffed at first because you wait all week for something & then it gets delayed & it's frustrating...It's over and we will play tonight...

 

GIAT is correct that both schools have to agree & obviously did...Russell could have pushed the issue but Sam Sparks is a class act & if Ashland really wanted to push it back a day, he was going to agree...We are rivals but both AD's are professional & have a lot of respect for each other...Plus, today is my birthday & Russell beat Ashland on my birthday last year & Sparks figured we would do it again so he agreed!!!

 

Or, maybe Russell wants to ensure Putnam is in really good shape so when our field gets destroyed at the end of the year (as usual) we can use Putnam again in the 3rd week of the playoffs because I'm sure it will be open!!! :thumb:

hopefully it did flood and wash out that nasty pig pen, rat invested, place that you call a visiting locker room. Take some of that money that you spend on painting that ugly kitty cat in the middle of the field and put a coat of paint on that sewer hole locker room.

just drove by the field and as of 9:00 am no one was there working on the field. Seems to me that they need to get it in gear so it will be ready for tonights game.:sssh:
