OBJ

Well, I think that's the conundrum. How much extracurricular stuff is it worth? When does the drama become more than the value?

Yeah it's a tough one for sure. I just think I'd rather deal with the the off field stuff and where TO ranks in every statistical category. While a headache throughout the week, I didn't have to worry about him getting in his own head and affecting his play on the field. If I have a QB that could handle TO, give me that all day over OBJ.

The on field antics sometimes are way too far. But off the field the guy is a model citizen and you never hear about him even with him being in New York. I think the comparisons to TO are way off. With that said I think there are 4 guys that are in a class by themselves and OBJ is one of them. AB, OBJ, Julio, and AJ are leaps and bounds better than everyone else in the league right now from a pure talent standpoint and production standpoint. I'd take the other three over OBJ just because of his antics at times, but he is so good there is not a single team in the league that wouldn't instantly be better if he was on their team.

I saw last night after the anthem he went down the line and shook the hands of every soldier who was there on the field.

Agree with all of this.

I did see another play when he didnt come up with a 40+/- yard pass. Would have been tough catch, but he only stuck out the one hand.

The only way he had a prayer of catching that was with one hand. And he still almost got it. :lol2:

Yep, commented on it also in Post #14 not #8

I think OBJ let's his emotion take over sometimes. He is a very emotional player, but i think thats part of what separates him from other players.

He has struggled somewhat to open this season, but his stats the previous two seasons are the best of the best.

I hope he figures out how to use his emotion and energy without letting it consume him. Because he still needs it, just can't let it take over. Teams are going to, if they haven't already, start trying to rattle him.

I love the guy. Everything I've seen him do off the field makes me think he's a genuinely good person. I don't like the comparisons to TO.

Having said all that, he is my guy and I'll stick with him. He has some things to improve on though.

The DB was holding his other hand down.

I think you can put Hopkins in that group too. He just has a crap QB throwing him the ball.

I almost said the same thing. But he hasn't done it over the length of time as the others.

That same crap QB is not have a problem getting Fuller the ball.

I don't consider Hopkins to be in the top tier. I think he's been more of a product of getting 10+ targets/game

"That’s just him,” Rhodes said. “He just goes out there and plays with emotion. … He’s still one of the best receivers in the game.”

Granted it is a small sample size of 5 games, but since OBJ's outburst(s) against the Panthers/Norman last season, he has not caught a TD pass and his per game numbers are down. Don't forget he also missed a game.

You can throw Hopkins in there certainly. But I wouldn't take him over any of the other 4 I named. Hopkins is definitely a top 5 or 6 receiver in the game right now though. I would also put Stefon Diggs up there too. Those 6 are the top 6 in the league right now imo.

He torched Norman though in that game and caught a late TD to put the team up. He missed a game because he was suspended.
