OBJ

Lots of talk this morning on several outlets about last night and the scraps he entertained with Rhodes and his distraction to the team, etc.

I'd be curious to hear the thoughts of the football guys on this board. Is he a distraction? I guess there are those who are comparing him to T.O..

Dude is a massive head case to the point where he takes himself out of the game. The worst part is he doesn't even see it. Even after the game he acts like everyone is out to get him.

Multiple different teammates came up to him at different times to calm him down. So yeah, I'd say it's a distraction.

Yes, he's a distraction.

So far, he's been worth it. The last couple games may end up changing that though.

I'd take TO over Odell personally.

He's a very talented player, but go ahead and give me AJ Green and Julio Jones over him any day as well. All extremely talented, but I'll take their demeanor over the 15 yards penalties.

I think it's a maturity thing. No chance I'd take the monumental king of distractions (T.O.) over OBJ. OBJ has issues with temper and seems to have some problem with proving he's got that toughness. TO was a distraction in the locker room, at the club, at his house, you name it. By all reports, OBJ seems like a good teammate.

I agree that I'd like to hear HB20's take. I'm curious to hear if he has a certain level of frustration with him

Like HT said he takes himself out of games. I've seen him be productive after one of his tantrums, but you don't really have a lot of faith in him after he starts pouting. Eli didn't look his way once on that final desperation drive. And he very well could've been ejected earlier in the game.

I don't know how his teammates deal with him and he's definitely not the first diva wideout (that's almost redundant), but he doesn't help himself.

Sometimes the passion that makes you great becomes your worst enemy. Seems to be the case in this one IMO.

It seems to be a distraction and teams will not stop doing what they do to get him to lose composure. As we all know, only he can stop this.

I'll take his off the field distractions if it meant I got a receiver that put up those kind of numbers week after week and didn't let some DB that hit him a little late throw off his whole game.

I don't think that there have been any off the field distractions with OBJ. Have there?

I don't believe there have.

I'm saying I would take TO's off field distractions with his numbers over OBJ's on field distractions to himself and/or teammates and his numbers.

Well, I think that's the conundrum. How much extracurricular stuff is it worth? When does the drama become more than the value?

TO ended up dividing multiple locker rooms and publicly went after coaching staffs. OBJ is bad because he ends up taking his battles to the extreme, to the point it consumes him and it compromises his skill set.

He has had no off field issues, it seems. Everything I can tell he is a really good guy. After the anthem last night the military personnel carrying the flag off the field were exiting. OBJ shook every one of their hands and thanked them.

There's the problem in the media. That doesn't get readers , so it's not reported as much. His losing his cool does. He did the exact opposite of CK and others and yet we hear nothing.

Didn't watch much of game last night, but did see play were Beckham got a flag for going back at DB.

My thought was that's the first time I'd ever seen a flag thrown for a player being a diva. Dude needs to get over himself.

I did see another play when he didnt come up with a 40+/- yard pass. Would have been tough catch, but he only stuck out the one hand.

Not a big fan of this guy. I usually like the SEC guys too.
