Tough as Nails Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Got our tickets and looking forward to a weekend of some good football. The weekend kicks off with two games, Findlay (Ohio) vs. Texas High (Texarkana, Texas) and Colerain (Cincinnati) vs. Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, Pa.), on Sept. 15 at the University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium. The next day will feature seven games at two Ohio sites. Moeller (Cincinnati) vs. Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.); St. Xavier (Cincinnati) vs. Lakeland; Centerville (Ohio) vs. Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.); and Elder (Cincinnati) vs. De La Salle will be played in Cincinnati. Kent State University's Dix Stadium will host three games: Hilliard (Ohio) Davidson vs. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia); St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) vs. Springdale (Ark.); and Massillon (Ohio) Washington vs. Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.). Five of the teams, four from the top 10, were in last season's final USA TODAY Super 25. Anyone else going?
PepRock01 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I was thinking about going to the Elder-DLS game.
katbird Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I'll be there all day long.... Doesn't get ant better than this.....
CardinalsFan Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Folks, this event is unprecedented in US history. Nothing like this has EVER been done. If you live within 100 miles of Cincinnati and love high school football, you absolutely MUST ATTEND the games on Saturday Sept 16. Moeller (Cincinnati) vs. Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.) St. Xavier (Cincinnati) vs. Lakeland Centerville (Ohio) vs. Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) Elder (Cincinnati) vs. De La Salle This list is a "Who's Who" of high school football from around the country. Ohio vs. USA Kirk Herbstreit Challenge Do yourself a favor and get your tickets now. You can purchase them on-line and they are cheaper than if you bought them at the gate. -CardinalsFan
Tough as Nails Posted August 30, 2006 Author Posted August 30, 2006 The tickets are not cheap. $13 each ahead or $17 at the gate. Each session includes two games. But well worth it if you want to see some good football teams from across the nation.
dolamite Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Without question this has to be the finest slate of bowl games in high school football history. Its almost impossible to get top programs such as Byrnes, De La Salle, Don Bosco, and Lakeland together in the same region for a day of football, not too mention, the same stadium, and in the same bowl. The epitimy of high school football at its best in this bowl.

Carmel IL, Elder vs. Oklahoma team with tons of speed. It happened 2 straight years, but then went away.....until now.
sccards60 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Aren't some of these games going to be on FSN Ohio?
swamprat Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I think Sun Sports or FSN Florida is carrying the St.X / Lakeland game, but don't hold me to that.
SportsGuy41017 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Aren't some of these games going to be on FSN Ohio? No, just one is on ONN (Ohio News Network) the Colerain game, Which I WISH Insight in NKY would start carrying as they have games of the week every week. Then tomorrow night they have a delay for the Moeller game. Good idea too, Live TV games keep too many fans away.

CovCath trailed 18 - 14 going into the 4th when the wheels came off...
theguru Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 CovCath played against Massillon one of the years as well. CovCath trailed 18 - 14 going into the 4th when the wheels came off... I remember that game like it was yesterday. It was really hot and CCH didn't have the depth Massillon had and so it goes. It seems like I remember CCH playing Oak Hills over there another year in a close game...
CardinalsFan Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Anyone going this weekend? Uhhhhh, yeah. I'll will attend all 6 games in Cincy. 2 Friday night 4 Saturday -CardinalsFan
