Who knows? What does that matter anyway? You could ask the same question for every player in the state ..... what if....doesn't change the fact. You do realize last week Hendrix only had 1 reception and Lonaker still threw for 344 yards and 3 TD's don't you?:popcorn:

Add Montrell Jones from Male and you got it. A tight end from Newport Central Catholic was also the first Mr Football (no other TE has won the award since).

Every class should have a Mr. Football but I agree with the front runners as mentioned above.

Isn't it already pretty trivial? Yes it's pretty cool tradition to be named the states best football player, but when you actually look at how its rewarded you realize just as most awards it becomes nothing but a popularity contest. When an award is determined more

by what colleges are recruiting said players than the actual best player in the state, well it loses some if its meaning if you ask me.
