I have a feeling if this was a lot of luck on MBA's part. I don't think Petrino will ever throw 3 picks in one game again. I look for Trinity to be very sharp, and ready to play all four quarters on Friday. And I don't like it one bit.:irked:

Great game. Yes, we're happy on the MBA side, but I also know it took a lot of guts late in the game to come back against a solid Trinity squad. Hats off to the Trinity program for a great contest, and to Glen Owens for providing live game stats via the Trinity website for those of us listening/viewing from home. First class all around.

 

It sounded like the opponent's D-line gave MBA fits again, much like last week versus PLD, but MBA sounded (from a radio broadcast perspective) like it also gave QB Howe time more to throw on many occasions. It was great to see our backup QB, with no QB experience (he was a DE last year with little playing time) and coming off preseason injuries that kept him out of all scrimmages and last week's game in Lexington, engineer a game winning drive.

Can't really say, don't really know. Its early. But if he wants to match last year, he now has a pretty small margin for error.

Pick number 1 was not Petrino's fault. He threw it to a wide open reciever (in the end zone) who tried to use his pads to catch the ball, it bounced off him an into the arms of a defender.
