I agree! I saw it last weekend at The Kentucky and it is easily the best movie I've seen this year. I recommend it to anyone, and I'd be shocked if you didn't walk out of the theater with your sides hurting from laughing, your heart warmed, and a smile on your face.

It is available on dvd, has been in stores for a month now or so. Shouldn't have a problem getting a copy. Yep the film does start kinda slow establishing all the characters. Once grandpa walks out and sees chicken, it really does take off from there. : )

I just saw on CNN news where it won the Best Picture at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards last night. And it's also nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award Oscar.

When I saw it, I too thought it was a bit slow at first. I thought it was great. A lot of subtle humor. Watched it twice in case I missed anything the first time. All the oddball characters . Most people can relate to at least one of them.
