Bowling Green 44 South Warren 12 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

Final.

Purples Freshman have zero problem with South Warren.

Good to see the young Purples are letting the "new kids on the block" know where the best football is located.

Especially after last nights 36-0 8th grade win.

didnt see post anything last year when BG JV and Freshman got swept i guess you forgot.BG freshman looked good SW with 4 turnovers on 4 staight plays didnt help.

Remember, BG last season (and this season) has eligible kids that can play JV or Frosh that only play Varsity. For instance, Vito Tisdale (frosh for BG) does not play freshman ball. Im sure South has a few that only play varsity as well.

Point is (IMO) BG, although they will be no where near as good next season, will not have any problem with South Warren.

I honestly dont even think it will be close in the first 3 seasons of playing one another. Again, everyone has their opinion which makes all of this fun to debate. Time will tell. I think SW coaches could kick themselves for not agreeing to play Purples in past year or two.

I am confident when these two faceoff in varsity competition the entire town will be at game. It aint gonna be pretty

South got the better of them in the 7th game right?

South has proven capable at times of standing toe to toe with Bowling Green at the lower levels. The problem they will soon see is that is not exactly an unseen thing. Bowling Green used to regularly lose at the lower levels only to flip the script completely up high. It's when they began dominating the lower levels as well that things got truly terrifying.

The 8th grade quarterback Eli Burwash is going to be a superstar He has a rocket arm and has moves like Jamal Carothers

It's obviously some freaking good koolaid! You should try some.

South Warren has flipped the script also this senior class was 0-10 scored two tds and got a little better 8th grade to 8-1 freshman to state title.I also agree I wish SW would have played BG the last 3 years would have been great games .BG will beat South next year but the next year will be fun to watch.that was last years JV minus a couple of players

I'll stay clear of any koolaid ! I had a good joke but may have been in bad taste so I keep it to myself

There is literally no way to determine who will win a varsity game by what happens in JV/Frosh/middle school/youth league.

Can't we all just get along?!?!

:)

You don't know that! You can't give up the ship that easy. It's over 365 days from now. Do you know how hyped those kids will be to play that game when it will be completely overflow capacity for any venue other than maybe WKU!

Like it or not, South has built a very good program (name me how many schools have a state championship in that few years of varsity ball) and very good coaches who will work on nothing over the off season but on strategy for this game. They will likely focus on completely stopping the BG run game and make Beau Buchanan beat them. No Deangelo Wilson, no Jamale Carothers, no Garret Strickler, no Luke Brown (very underrated). Turnovers, timely penalties, injuries, locust, flood.... Anything can happen. We've got alot of bantering to lob at each other between then and now. So the frosh lost, they won't be on the field next year in the big game. You can't quit now!
