Oh and Trinity has won 90 in a row against in-state teams not named Male or St. Xavier. I assume my Trinity friend was correct when he threw that stat at Mark. I mean wow, that's a lot of games.

 

If memory is correct, the last in state team not named Male or X to beat Trinity was Dixie Heights and that was around 2004 if I had to guess so I bet that stat is correct.

Belfry is great.

Trinity v. Belfry would not be as close as some would like to think. I am from EKY and very familiar with the Belfry program. Since living in Louisville I have had the opportunity to watch T play throughout the years. Belfry has had some good teams and would put up a decent game early but the complexity in which T plays would give them issues. The size and strength of Belfry would not be something that would overwhelm T. It would be a 3-4 TD win home, neutral or away

Just ask yourself this question. Would Lafayette beat Ensworth and Brentwood? I'd say no, and if so, why not try to schedule a game with them. Remember, Brentwood beat Mississippi power Olive Branch 42-14 week 0 this year.

No attempt at bus this time. I have arranged for a private van for ten Trinity die-hards who dislike night driving as much as I do! Next bus trip will be to Bowling Green for state championship assuming the Rocks take care of business and stay healthy.

Rocks will take this one 49-14. The Generals may score twice on long TD pass. The Rocks offense can be methodical and simply wear out the opponents in second half. The weather is going to be awesome!!!!!

Still trying to decide if I'm gonna go down for this one, but I feel like I'll be kicking myself if I don't take advantage of the weather.

Parking is atrocious and given the way the stadium is situated, you may be left parking in the residential neighborhood. Be careful, some cars were being towed at the Male @ Lafayette scrimmage.

Lafayette can win this game as I predicted them to do. I really think highly of the Generals and believe they are clearly one of the better teams in the state 6A or otherwise. There are a lot of points to make up from last year's differential. But, it can be done.

This article from Jason Frakes has some interesting comments from Beatty,

 

1. He said the quarterback might be the most athletic kid that he's had at the position

 

2. He seems really committed to the run game. Says something along the lines of not caring if they have one pass attempt....seems like a stark contrast to prior T offenses.
