Boyle County was good and bad at times against North Hardin but will face a big step up in class against Lafayette. Can the Rebels hang with the Generals? Boyle is the home team.

I would love to see Boyle County pull off the upset but they will take another loss this week. As long as they clean up the mistakes and keep it competitive I'll be happy. Good luck Rebels!

As much of a homer as I am it may take a little Devine intervention for Boyle to keep it close. Lafayette may have one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the state in all classes IMO they will be the best team Boyle will face all season even in the playoffs.

Having seen both teams play, I would have to say the Rebels are in trouble. Lafayette makes plenty of mistakes and plays very undisciplined but they have so much talent to make up for it. I just can't see this game being close, but I hope i am wrong.

If Boyle can keep it close into the third quarter I can see a close finish. Lafayette is just head and shoulders above Boyle right now. I'll say the Rebels keep it close early and Lafayette expands it in the second half to win.

Lafayette 41

Boyle 20

Hate going against the Rebs but the talent and experience gap is too big in this one. I hope they keep it close and stay healthy. I say Lafayette 28 Boyle 14

If Boyle/Lafayette is closer than that one, and we stay injury free, I am a happy man.

Go Rebels!

Generals over the rebs 35-14. Talent is talent, but the rebels got them a heck of a coach over there. Better watch out!

How many kids are suspended for Lafayette?

I hear 2....but not sure who

If Lafayette or anyone else is going to win big against Boyle it will be early in this season. I think the Rebels will improve a great deal with every game. Then starting next year no one will look forward to playing them. I know Lafayette is tough, but look for a much closer game than everyone expects.

I like your assessment for the game and the season.

I will say every Rebel fan out there likes to put the "wait till next year" phrase somewhere in their posts. I'm sure I myself have done it as well. Let's slowdown and embrace this year. There are so many variables that can change between now and then, I think it unwise to look that far ahead.

Just one man's opinion.

Go Rebels!

For those of you who enjoy good food, Buddy's World Famous will have his food truck at the game according to his Facebook page. He's a friend of mine and the food is delicious. I'll recommend the bacon & chicken grilled cheese and the strawberry white chocolate bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Wife enjoys the chicken wrap and mandates we get it every time he's in town.

I agree for the most part. Same mindset for basketball this season as well. However, in both sports one can't help to watch this season play out without being excited for next year. I don't think it is unwise to look ahead. I do think we should slow down and enjoy this season though.
