Ask Highlands about their campus for the last 101 years. Their football campus was the same until they put in the turf field. The natural grass field collected water that wouldn't drain, so they were playing their games in a giant mud puddle. Locker rooms were just up graded with in the last 5 years or less.

 

 

Nicer than any NKY school. The entire school was beautiful.

I'm a big fan of SK but this scheduling of much lower class teams has got to stop.

 

I believe the scheduling Marksberry did over the past 8 years or so as he built Simon Kenton up was actually very good. It is a model other struggling football programs should look at. However, the program is now established as an annual contender in 6A. If they want to take the next step to winning a title, they need to push themselves higher. At this point, Simon Kenton would benefit much more playing a top tier 4A or higher school. The rest of their schedule this year is pretty good.

CAL had over 60 kids on their roster so class size goes out the window. I would love to watch SK beat Mayfield. But Belfry against SK sounds better.

Mayfield has what most teams don't, speed everywhere. I would guess SK couldn't matchup in the speed department. I would think Belfry would have a good shot against SK too

I heard the Bengals had a open date last night but they couldn't get it worked out due to the Bengals wanting to much of the gate

Justify it all you want SK should have beaten CAL like they did. Again this year I'm saying a prayer to the football gods that Trinity makes the championship game and SK is their opponent. Nothing better then bringing NKY teams back to reality on the big stage.
