Milwaukee Crowd Turns Violent after Police Shoot Armed Man

Featured Replies

According to NBC nightly news the rioters in Milwaukee are upset because the video hasn't been released yet. Who wants to bet money that after its released they'll then shift the blame of their actions towards the police department for not showing the video fast enough.

That's a fantastic reason to burn everything.

These folks don't have reason, just excuses for their actions.

Turns out the cop knew the guy from high school. It's not known how well they knew each other.

I will bet it doesn't matter what the video shows, BLM will still blame the police just like they live the lie of Michael Brown with the hands up garbage.

Heard that the police officer involved was sent away by his chief due to threats on his life.

Also---do the people who burned down the BP realize they put their own community members and neighbors in harms way? Idiots.

They have also made that area much less marketable for new businesses, more expensive to be insured in that area, higher prices for other stuff etc. The problem is that these idiots doing this are uneducated so they don't get it at all. And if you try to explain the effect it has on their community then you're just not seeing the big picture and they don't care blah blah blah.

Lack of education is a real problem in a lot of these inner cities where you see these problems. While I know that's not earth shattering news. The cycle of violence and unrest will continue until the folks involved in these activities realize how much theyre hurting themselves and their communities future when they act out like this.

I was going to mention this very thing. Rioting hurts the local community long-term. It makes the cost of running a business there much more than it should be. Goods and services then cost the locals more than it does in the suburbs. Many businesses will leave. I rarely go into Cincinnati but had to go there about a year ago. I decided to get something to snack on in one of the convenience stores downtown. I went inside and found something quickly. The cashier was in an elevated station behind bars and glass. That ain't no way to run a business but the crime rate in the area dictates that it be done that way. How many businesses leave because of the higher cost of doing business in the inner city? This is one reason the unemployment rate is much higher there.

What is the end result of rioting?

I haven't been keeping up with the Milwaukee riots very much, been watching mostly the Olympics. But my question is, how many pharmacies have been looted so far? All many of these rioters use these situations for is to steal drugs from these stores. They looted quite a few in Baltimore during those riots and later there were many deaths from gang wars over these drugs that flooded the neighborhoods, as well as overdose deaths.

Maybe the store owners need to hire the Korean store owners from L.A. :lol2:

Did you guys see where his sister was telling people to not burn their neighborhoods but to go burn down the suburbs, then CNN edited out the suburbs part and said she was pleading for peace :lol2:. What a joke

I think someone started a thread about it. CNN then released a statement saying it at unintentional, which is clearly a lie.

Nah, media doesn't try to incite more violence or have an agenda...

Which is interesting because while working today I found a talk radio show that was hosted by two black gentlemen. They sounded a bit older maybe 60's or 70's and they were talking about how the media wants to tear folks apart and to start a race war etc. I was surprised because I hadn't heard that from too many folks other than white conservatives or moderates.

I'm wondering if that might stick.

Also it didn't appear these two gentlemens were conservatives by any means just that they felt the media was trying to fuel the fire.

Whereas you raise good points about this theory, this example would not be one. CNN obviously edited the video and didn't show the call for violence in the suburbs. So in this case, the media edited the statement and presented the call for calm and not the woman's call for violence. :thumb:

Of course they did. They dont want the violence where they live.

As long as they notified police and then the police either gave a warning to all the suburbs about possible violence coming against them or they flooded those suburbs with extra police or national Guard.

If someone is making threats against the area I live or where my business may be located I really deserve to know that.
