"Well that makes sense" said no one ever.

Is there more to this, did the protesters/arsonist think he was unarmed?

Were the store owners somehow responsible?

Why were shots fired at the fire department, were they using illegal hoses to fight the fires?

Have we heard reports of what took place during the stop? All I saw was there was a stop and the guy in the passenger seat took off running. Did the police know who he was before the pulled him over?

I'll be curious to hear the reason for the officer shooting the fleeing suspect.

According to early CNN reports, 2 people were stopped by police. One fled and was chased, he produced a handgun and refused to put it down and was shot.

Officer had body camera.

So all he did was pull out a gun and refused to put it down? Gosh why didn't they just shoot it out of his hand or shoot him in the arm....

The car was pulled over because it was a "suspicious" vehicle. I'm not sure what made it suspicious.

Not sure if they knew the guy. From reports the area has a very high crime rate.

There you go. If that's the case then this will be a short investigation.

Another peaceful protest. Sources say the suspect was a Blood gang member also. Question? If that many people can get together to loot and burn and "protest", why can't that many people get together to do something positive like help the police get rid of the gangs and the criminal element in the community, therefore lessening the police presence in the neighborhood? How about being proactive in your community. Why turn a blind eye to the crime and criminals? Why act like this when the worst of the community get's into a armed confrontation with police? It's like the hood protects the bad guys.. Why live in constant fear of your neighbors. Move or turn there butts in.... Even I a white guy knows when the police say get on the ground you do it.. If you pull a weapon on police who also have weapons do you expect a peaceful outcome. I know there have been bad shooting and sometimes our protectors are overzealous with their guns at times. That fact is undeniable. Until people stop pulling guns and shooting at police this cycle will never end. Right or wrong you have to respect LEO's. They will be itchy on the trigger if they feel unsafe. Leo's also need to stop covering for the bad ones. It's going to take everyone to do the right thing to change this environment of distrust. Fact:Most people who don't like police have only met them while breaking the law.

Should have used an electric bullet.

It sounds like there was a call to violence via social media last night. I would like to see police go after these folks calling for violence via social media.

Nine shootings recently in this area, it sounds like a rough place.

Keep in mind what qualifies as Reasonable Suspicion and Probable Cause are very different as ruled by the courts. To pull you over, the Reasonable Suspicion can be as simple as a tail light out, cross lanes without a signal and other very minor things. To search you or your car without your permission, a cop needs probable cause which requires much more compelling reason.

It looks like their suspicions were correct. Sounds like the guy had a lengthy record, I'm guessing his and cops paths have crossed a few times.
