I thought the dline played pretty well also. I agree with JOAT on the qb situation. The one year qb thing needs to change after this year. I would let the soph take the JV snaps and get as many reps as possible. I believe to really help this years team you move said JV and varsity backup qb to the line.. JMO

Thats the way it goes when you want to be a QB at a great program. My son knows to play his Soph or Jr year the football Gods will have to be looking down on Him like they were for Pat when Wil Bardo got hurt against St X. You have to work hard and earn the spot and playing time. Beau played wide receiver till it was his turn to play. Just the way it is at HHS.

When was the last time they got dominated by a couple NKY teams and had 5 losses. With alot of people predicting another 5 loss season? I heard that the highlands feeder league is down alot of players and the 8th grade actually combined with another league. All things that make (outsiders) think times are changing in the fort.

 

the 8th graders were split into two teams and moved to the nkyfl to get the kids a little playing time against other teams. For the record one of the teams played tonight against the Red Devils and beat them 19-7. I would say with that effort today shows the opposite of what you are saying. All we hear is how great the CCRD are. We took kids split them up evenly on two teams and competed nicely. That change was the first of several changes to improve the league as a whole.

Totally unrelated to the thread- it seems like 80% of the nonsense on this thread is- but the company I work for recently did some work at the school over the summer as part of their renovation. I'm a CCH grad and player but want to let the parents know that the young men who were there during the day were awesome. We had to work around them and they us. They were courteous as could be. Was nice to see. Now, back to the nonsense!!

As I always say kids are good. I've had the same experience as you with HHS kids. I've had the same experience with every school. Kids get a bump rap today.

I think what your saying is the best player should play? If you play because your in a higher grade that makes zero sense to me.. Play the best player with the most potential to get you where you need to be..
