How did Highlands look conditioning wise?

I don't have a dog in the fight. I respect both programs. But until Cooper flat out dominates year in and year out with state titles, they can't be mentioned in the same sentence as Highlands. Also, they're 0-1 against Cooper, let's not make it sound like they've played 10 times and never beat em.

A state semi-final appearance is what many many many schools in Kentucky would dream of, including yours. As you said in another post, they played who was on their schedule and I believe you were one that said they would lose to CovCath and would get running clocked by Pulaski County, neither of which happened by the way.

Beechwood is arguably the ONLY school in NKY who can be put in the same category as Highlands when it comes to dominance. Don't like it? Get over it. Highlands is the what EVERY NKY high school wants to be and that's all there is to it. Teams have been waiting to take out Highlands and now that they have everybody thinks they're on the downfall. I find it hilarious. I guess Trinity has never had a bad year or years :idunno: Enjoy your time of beating Highlands now because it won't last long.

I dont know how many years they have been counting state championships but to (outsiders) Dale muller won almost half of them in 20 years. With him retired and the season they had last year yes it looks like they will be far and few between in the near future.

You are so lost in this discussion. First off I never said anything about HHS and the respect they should receive due to their past. Actually I'm proud that a NKY school is respected nationwide like HHS is. Actually never said anything about their past titles, you did. I'm talking about this year as to why when you know you're rebuilding you scrimmage St X? That was it. You are the one who seemed to get your panties in a bunch because everyone is not bowing down to the 2016 Highlands Football team. Nothing to do with the 2014 or further back at all. Actually you are the one who drug this down a path no one else was even talking about. You seem to reach for conclusions and innuendos that weren't even discussed.

 

So so when you can follow a conversation and keep up instead of turning down a road that wasn't even approached then maybe you will get the respect your reaching for, but for right now you are so lost I can't even follow you anymore.

 

with that said, one thing will always stand true with SOME HHS fans, if you ever dare predict HHS won't win a state title in any given year, you are automatically labeled a hater. If you predict the same for any other school in NKY you are just being a realist. Lesson to some of those HHS fans such as yourself, just because HHS isn't being predicted to win state this year does not make that person a heater, it actually makes that person smart. I predict BG to win state this year. Sorry.

Is he currently playing a skill position? I would hope with the situation with the line the coaches would out their best players who could play line on the line.

Yes, has a nice arm but cannot move in the pocket. He needs to help shore up that line. However, I have heard he is not interested in any other position hence my clipboard comment.

 

I was surprised Scheollman and Cramer didn't get any snaps at QB. Gosney was in a little too long IMO but I get it. He's your leader and real games start this week, you gotta see his conditioning and game management. He will be fine if he can get time.

Championships were not few and far between in the 35 years before Dale, how do you postulate they will be in the future based on one year's results?

One of Dale's many strengths was his ability to get players into positions and their buy in to help the team succeed. New coach needs to find a way to do the same.

When was the last time they got dominated by a couple NKY teams and had 5 losses. With alot of people predicting another 5 loss season? I heard that the highlands feeder league is down alot of players and the 8th grade actually combined with another league. All things that make (outsiders) think times are changing in the fort.

I did not get to make the game on Friday, but from what I have been told by several that were, if Gosney gets injured, said kid will be playing QB. If that is in fact true, then you are stunting the development of that position even more by having a junior play JV that then takes time away from a sophomore.

 

I was also told that the DL actually played okay all things considered and the OL had no chance as St. X was bringing the house on every play.

 

The quote I do not like hearing is that it will not take us 5 weeks this year to get things straightened out. Hopefully that is a "true" statement and not just fluff being tossed about. Again, get those that can do the job on the field and let them do that job rather than trying to force a square peg through a round hole.
