Not sure about today, but in the past you just needed an apartment and phone number. Also, some families with kids going to different Ohio schools shared apartments so kids could play sports, while living in KY.

I agree. Ohio has 706 schools playing football and KY has 222. Lot more competition to go thru in OH. Population of Ft Thomas is approx 16,600. Elder draws from 4 zip codes. Still glad we play and I expect it's a teaching moment.

HHS needed to play this game without errors. Did not happen. Too may mistakes to keep it close. Pick 6, bad timed penalties, bad angle on missed tackles. Elder made mistakes that HHS did not take advantage of. So score reflects the better team advantage. HHS still needs to clean up the mental errors if they want to achieve their goal.

Update Sept. 26, 2025 - Inside work on the facility continues. The right side of the parking lot is not yet complete. I expect this to be my last update since pictures of inside the facility are not accessible now. Picture of the field - Taken between games at Homecoming game last night for both Boys and Girls.

Update - August 28, 2025 - Building brick being finished up on the middle building. Work has progressed on the parking lot in front of the facility. The wiring for the lighting and concrete pads was completed. The first application of blacktop has been applied to the middle and left side. Building materials that are staged on the right side will move so it can get the first layer of blacktop. Name was added to the top of the scoreboard.  Inside work is progressing.

Here is a picture I have showing part of the inside of the left building as of July 23rd.

The left side is mostly open. My understanding is the will be able to workout in small groups. Also, herd they plan to be able to setup a pitching cage for the baseball team. I believe the public restrooms and utilities for the field. The right side are locker rooms, rest rooms and showers for the teams (visitor and HHS).

Update August 13, 2025 - Parking area is being prepared for lighting. New score board is being set. Brick is getting a power wash. Soccer team is getting the feel of the new field and track.

If true then why run the ball a lot in a scrimmage, practice what your weak at. Test your players.

Update July 25th, 2025 - The lines were added to the track today. Thought it was worth posting.

Update July 23, 2025 - Building is progressing. Work on the electrical, plumbing, insulation, and drywall is ongoing. Last layer of rubber surface has been applied to the track. Next Lane Lines will be added. Soccer practices on the field are expected within the next week or so. Home games will not begin until the facility locker rooms; rest rooms, concession and parking are complete. I do not know the exact timing. Update - July 6th, 2025 - Work continues on the interior and exterior of the building. Topsoil is being applied around the field and the walkway above the right turn. One I-Beam Scoreboard is now in place. Walkway is progressing. Work to provide safe access to the soccer field will be completed in time for them to start practice. Status of the exterior of the building. Scoreboard - One I-Beam in place. Second one will begin soon. Topsoil being applied around the field. This is the shotput area. Also,fencing is being added around the track Walkway work is progressing.

Update - June 22, 2025 - Field is complete with new goal assembled. Track will be next. Work on the score board is being started. Brick work on the outside and HVAC on the inside is progressing. The field turned a dark green after the rubber was applied. On the right of the picture is a truck with a hole drill for the new Score board On the far side of the field away from the stands 2X marks the spot for the new Score Board. Mid Field line. Update - June 18, 2025 - Soccer field turf is getting the last layer of sand and rubber. Assembly of Goals has started. New sidewalk and steps are being worked on. First layer of asphalt has been applied to the track. After the turf is completed the final asphalt layer and top rubberize surface will be applied and then lane lines. Brick work continues. Will get some pictures this weekend. Update June 14th, 2025 - Lots of activity - Field logo's being placed on field with the next step - laying the rubber media. Track is being readied for new surface. Began laying the front facade for the building and roofing shingles in place. Work on the track surface Material staged - Rubber Media

Update - June 9th 2025 - Field turf progressing. I saw equipment being dropped off for the track surface to begin (weather permitting). Scaffolding is being setup to begin laying brick. Retaining wall for the parking lot area has been started.

Update - Tuesday June 3rd, 2025 - Work started on the Field turf. Later this week or next - the plan is to start on laying the base for the track. Weather permitting.

Update May 29, 2025 - I put the wrong date on the above May 17 should have been May 28. Wanted to post two pictures from noon today, Applying the under lament for the turf field. Close up view. Working on concrete and drainage in front of the stands.

Update - May 17 2025 - Buildings are being prepared for brick and work progressed on the roofs. The parking area is being graded. The soccer field has been leveled with the first layer of media. New field material has been staged.

Update May 17, 2025 - Track field event concrete work close to complete. Track surface being prepared for first pavement. Stands are getting close to complete. Outer building surface being prepared for new brick. Update May 8, 2025 - Progress on assembly of the stands. Concrete work on the field events Facility is progressing and the work on the parking area has started back up. Worker welding the seams on the metal roof underlayment.

One Project that was started today was the installation of the stands. They delivered the material yesterday. Will be interesting to see how stands build progresses.

Yes, they are behind. However they hope to get the track paving started within the next two weeks. Then they will start on the field turf. Hope to get the soccer teams on the in time for start of practice. Hoping for less rain.
