Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I hadn't heard anything about it...but a coworker brought in peaches to the office this morning and said they were from "the peach truck", like I should have known what that meant. Then all of my other coworkers started talking about it too. And man oh man oh man was the peach I at fantastic... Apparently there's a business called "The Peach Truck" that has a schedule of stops around Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania (you can scout out the locations on their website), and your peaches are guaranteed to have been picked within two or three days of the time they arrive for you to purchase them. My coworker said folks had been there waiting for the truck to arrive for almost an hour before it got there. I might have to look into catching them on one of their next stops around the Louisville area. The Peach Truck
lawildcat Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Yes, my niece lives in Lafayette and she is planning on going when they visit her area. She says they are wonderful.

I'll try to find it for you.
CincySportsFan Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 They were at Baeten's Nursery up on Frogtown Road last month. I guess it was a zoo. Traffic was a mess around there with people trying to get in. My wife's friend posted a video showing the line...probably over a hundred people standing there waiting for the truck. A lot of people with smiles on their faces, though...so, I'm guessing the peaches were worth it.

MJAlltheWay24 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Fiance's family bought them a few weeks ago, and I assume that it's the same. They are some good peaches.
lawildcat Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 A 25 lb. box of Freestone Georgia Peaches is $39, and a 1 lb. bag of Elliot Pecans (shelled and halved) are $13. We prefer debit/credit cards for our safety! No need to reserve. Just come on out!
Clyde Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Peach truck? Nope. I have heard about a turnip truck. My dad used to always mention it . Seems like he mentioned it whenever I told him something that may have not been totally true.

Jim Schue Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 They come to Bardstown a couple times a month during the summer. Got some coming soon!
Jumper_Dad Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I saw it was going to be here sometime...but I don't know much about it.
gold sunrise Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I bought some in Winchester. They are very good. What we didnt eat I froze. It takes them a day or two to rippen after you buy them.
Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 Apparently the peach truck is making the rounds through Kentucky this weekend. It's down in the Paducah/Bowling Green area today, Central Kentucky-ish tomorrow, Louisville/Frankfort/Lexington vicinity on Sunday, and Louisville/Northern Kentucky on Monday.
