July 18, 201610 yr It's been my experience that's exactly what most sovereign citizen folks are. He wasn't your typical sovereign citizen, at least not based on what I've seen. I'm sure he had some similar beliefs as some sovereign citizens...
July 18, 201610 yr The State Police had not released any information yet. If they had and Obama didn't comment id be right there with you. Do you think that if he really wanted to know that he would have to wait for the state police to release information to you and I. Or do you believe that he could be the first one to know, if he were interested enough about it to make his own speech?
July 18, 201610 yr Do you think that if he really wanted to know that he would have to wait for the state police to release information to you and I. Or do you believe that he could be the first one to know, if he were interested enough about it to make his own speech? I'm saying he shouldn't be the one releasing that information. They're still investigating and he's letting them. If he comments again after they have released information, i would hope he'd comment. I'm sure he knew whatever they knew at the time of his speech.
July 18, 201610 yr I'm sure Obama knew about it as soon as it happened and in sure he knew the motive not long afterwards. He has way more information and people giving it to him than all of us put together. I'm sure his advisors probably said something like Mr President we have another cop killing, this time in LA and it's a black guy who did this and he is affiliated with?????. What do you want to say.
July 18, 201610 yr Just where are you seeing these "statistics"? And if you're simply comparing them to other years, which years? Technology has increased the likely hood of surving a gun shot, changes from revolvers to semi auto in LE,Etc. Why don't you look at a more accurate number to tell the full story, like perhaps felonious assaults on police officers or how many have been shot or shot at and survived. Here's an article from late last year that shows the downward trend in both killings of police officers and assaults on police officers. I'm sure this year is going to be much worse than the last several in regards to both however. Once again: There is no ‘war on cops.’ And those who claim otherwise are playing a dangerous game. - The Washington Post

If he comments again after they have released information, i would hope he'd comment. I'm sure he knew whatever they knew at the time of his speech. Of course he knew. What I'm getting at is why even mention anything about the motive, if he is going to say the motive isn't clear. The motive is clear to most of us that have any intelligence, but I get why he would want it to be investigated and allow the police to respond to that on their own. But what I'm getting at, is if you have no plans on commenting on the motive, whether you know what it is or not, why would you even bring the word up in the first place? He would have been better off just leaving it at "this is happening far too often."
July 18, 201610 yr Struggling with how "the motive is unknown" at the beginning of an investigation is such an offensive statement.
July 18, 201610 yr I showed a state police friend a couple of posts here and his words are priceless. He said "how in the hell is more training gonna keep me from being ambushed?"
July 18, 201610 yr I showed a state police friend a couple of posts here and his words are priceless. He said "how in the hell is more training gonna keep me from being ambushed?" I was thinking the same thing.
July 18, 201610 yr Struggling with how "the motive is unknown" at the beginning of an investigation is such an offensive statement. I'm fine with the police saying this and they should. The problem is with the media who every time a black man is shot rushes to condemn cops but then in turn when a cop is shot seems to be more cautious. If the shooter is a white republican we find with in minutes. If the media was cautious in all shootings it would be a non issue.
July 18, 201610 yr Obama had his to say. Obama said the motive behind Sunday's killing of three officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was still unknown Well maybe he should have just made up some motive like he has before and blamed police. He knows good and well the motive was to kill white cops, just like everyone on here knows. He just had the BLM leader who was arrested last week over to the WH. The rhetoric hasn't slowed down as has the protest as they blocked the interstate in Baltimore. It's time to wake up and stop adding racist comments to fuel the fire that is out of control already. It;s clear that you don't like Obama or BLM, but how can you state the motive to be killing white cops when a black cop is killed as well. This is such an idiot response (the shootings) to what has occurred recently. Killing cops of any race is not the answer and the suspects simply represent an evil minded agenda not BLM. Please stop trying to point fingers to make one race look worse than any other. IMO todays event was not an attack on race, but on an institution that is unfortunately being targeted. I am just a fed up and sick about today as anyone. I'm not going to argue with you because it's mute, but please read your own statements and see the fuel being added to the current situation.
July 18, 201610 yr Struggling with how "the motive is unknown" at the beginning of an investigation is such an offensive statement. If someone, myself included can take a short look at his social media feeds and determine the motive, yet the POTUS can't, then I'm in the wrong line of work.
