There will be some missteps for sure. But every time this convention seems to get its act together, someone seems to crash and burn. Again, if you can't rein in your own convention, how are you going to run the government?

His speech has been very effective, between him and Newt, I may have to reconsider my vote for Johnson.

 

Very good speaker, and seems to be a solid guy. At this point he looks like a solid pick.

Why did they even have Cruz speak?

 

From what I understand, Trump gave the ok to all of the candidates to speak if they wanted, with no strings attached as far as supporting him.

Trump signed the pledge to support the party nominee. Then sometime in late spring, there was another dustup with the RNC, all the other candidates said they were not going to honor their signed pledges so then Trump, who by then was ahead, so then Trump said he then would not honor his pledge. But he did sign originally with Reince Priebus at their much written about meeting with the RNC.

Oh I'm sure she is real in some form. However, the amateurish photos that she and the Trump campaign have put out and his history of making up people give this story legs that shouldn't exist.

There will not be near as much conversation regarding the Dem convention because they will be good little boys and girls and follow the same old tiresome path that has led us to where we are today.

Great, classic book. I see phrasing from that book included in lots of different speeches.

I agree. There is no way in hell I'd ever support a person who said the things Trump did about my family that he did to Cruz. Just shouldn't have spoke last night. He did more harm than good, although that may have been his intention.
