The tworld on that ticket are hell bent on making life miserable in a very real way for people I know and love personally. As I said before his selection was announced, Pence sealed my anti Republican vote this year. Now Im trying to decide how to decide who to vote for or if I even vote.

He will have a difficult time finding a job (read re-election) going forward. He confirmed everything that everyone has been saying about him, that Ted is out for Ted.....and maybe even Hillary at this point. A few things: That silly pledge was just that - silly. When HRC boat races Trump in this election the conservative base (rightly or wrongly) is going to say "See - should have had a true conservative." Cruz owns that wing right now and I think they will stay loyal to him. Losing causes short memories for those who are now mad at Cruz. I saw too many people online praising his philosophy of conservative government last night to think him not supporting a losing candidate publicly will hurt him in four years.

July 21, 201610 yr Author I am kind of disgusted with all the individuals involved. On the other hand, I really like the Republican Party platform. I think it is really solid for the types of things that I believe in. I was talking with my wife last night about if it were possible to vote for the platform instead of the individual. Obviously, not. I have genuine concern that many of the elements of the platform that are most important to me will be ignored by Trump if he wins. I assume you mean the R platform that has not been discussed thus far in Cleveland? Have we heard any "platform" other than "send her to jail?"

Don't get me wrong, he fits the philosophy of: He ain't the best, but he's the best we got.... The paper may be "silly", but integrity is a central point of this whole sheebang going forward and it's a matter of principle.

But you can't come up in here spouting things like "integrity" and "honror a pledge" and crap, and then say you support Trump. This thread is about the RNC. There will be plenty of time to take shots at HRC next week. Don't play diversionary tactics to deflect people from looking at the Trump/Pence ticket. If he (Trump) can throw shade at Cruz and his family and all are OK with it, then by God, I'm taking the gloves off and stating what I think about him without reservation.
