Like I said this means nothing. Outside of wannabe comedians on twitter and the media members who like to harp on the GOP. This won't exist to most after tonight. Heck I guarantee if you ask 10 people randomly you are lucky if 1 or 2 even know this happened.

The sad thing about last night is that Joni Ernst had to give her speech after the networks stopped their live coverage. Was a pretty solid one IMO. Looks like an early factor in the 2020 go of things.

That is what every campaign does. There are millions of speeches given on a limited amount of subjects in this world. You write a speech and hand it over to others to vet it and make sure you don't mimic others. Team Trump would be sloppy enough not to go through all the steps.

 

No, I do not think they watched video of Mrs. Obama's most watched speech ever and said, "that is what we will use and nobody will ever know."

 

Neither is better than the other. And frankly, I really do not care if she read the speech word for word.

 

I agree, I'm sure that Mrs. Obama wasn't the first person and that Mrs. Trump will not be the last person that use those exact phrases in a speech.

 

I'm more worried about who can get our national debt under control, turn around the economy and stop all the madness that is going on in the country right now.

I find it amusing that a number of posters on here making a big deal about the plagiarism are going to end up voting for Clinton.

It depends. Mrs. Trump didn't want to speak in the first place, and was basically begged (or whatever word you want to use) into speaking. She didn't want to do it.

 

The Trump camp wanted her to humanize Trump, but now all people will focus on is that she read Mrs Obama's speech almost per vitem in two paragraphs.

 

She tells people that she wrote it all herself with almost no help. Now people will question her honesty, including anything good that she had to say about her husband.

 

And for some off reason the Trump camp is blaming Hillary for this?

 

I would say that she did lie about the entire thing, I don't think that she even wrote one word of that speech. Which wouldn't be uncommon to get help, or even have someone else write the entire thing.

 

Someone either set her up, or someone thought it would be a good idea to lift a speech that was given 8 years ago. I'd say at least one person in the Trump camp has lost their job today over it.

I don't Donald had the responsibility of "getting his wife's speech right". That probably fell to the speechwriter and his wife. And I don't see those two being involved with nuclear arms or trade treaties.

Oh please. Give it a rest. The latest Trump wife was reading a speech written for her by a hired speech writer. The speech writer made her look bad and will probably be fired. Hell, the conspiracy guy in me thinks it was the speech writer's intent to sabotage but who knows, that person dropped the ball and made the woman into a social media joke now. I feel sorry for her. What this has to do with your theory about goofing up treaties, I don't know. I heard this same jibberish 8 years ago about your guy Barry. And he has made a few wrong hires during his reign as well.
