Both speeches shared communal feelings and descriptions This tells me you do not understand what plagiarism is. These weren't concepts or ideas she was stating. These were EXACT words in EXACT order.

What are the odds? If they were that way then it was stupid. The phrases I heard were re-worded and presented in different structure. They are also common rhetoric.

Again, I answered in other post that I saw them as similar in structure but not verbatim. Plagiarism usually requires lifting original thought and wording as his/her own without credit. So did Michelle Obama write the 2008 speech and that thought or phraseology was never used before?
