July 11, 201610 yr I'd throw my vote to Buckhead. Quality of food will be better than Brothers in my opinion. I haven't been to Brothers in years. We went a lot when it first opened, then the quality of the food decreased significantly. Haven't been back since & quite frankly wouldn't recommend it.

Haven't been back since & quite frankly wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't either. Ate their once or twice when the fiance worked there back in like 2012. Was never impressed. Liked going there on a Friday/Saturday night when I was 25-26. Been quite a while since I've been there and don't really have much desire to go back. The Banks/OTR/Breweries takes my money instead.
July 11, 201610 yr Pompilio's is great for this type of thing. I have used it often. Gives the real flavor of Newport in days gone by. Food is very good and very reasonably priced.
July 14, 201610 yr Author Well, we ended up going to the Chart House in Newport. We called and told them we had 3 kids under the age of 7 and they literally said, "Bring them on." When we got there, there was only 8 other people in the restaurant. Very cool place and the appetizers were awesome. I ended up getting the filet mignon and it was tasty. My wife got the Cuban shrimp and it was awesome. We ate lunch on Tuesday at a place in downtown Cincinnati called Jefferson Social. Super cool spot. It was taco Tuesday and we tore it up! Thanks again for all the tips!

July 14, 201610 yr I'll set the over and under at 20 years. Any one with facts? It's been here since I've been in NKY, and I moved here in 1998. My wife and I go there for our anniversary every few years, as that was the first place we ate as a married couple....although it was at the one in Philly. We had gotten a $150 gift certificate as a gift from my employees, and we spent every dime. Very nice place.
July 14, 201610 yr Never been to the Chart House and never really hear much about the place. It must be good since it's been around so long while being on the river.
