LeBron's legacy

Featured Replies

Explain this, please. I'm not sure if I follow what you are saying when you say "between the ears."

Saying mentally. If he had the killer instinct and mentality of those two, he'd have been/would be totally unstoppable. No one can match him physically.

LBJ is the best basketball player ever. MJ is the most clutch & biggest killer of the group.

LeBron is like combining MJ (skill), Magic (passing/leadership), Wilt (best athlete in NBA history before LeBron), Pippen (ability to guard nearly anyone) and Shaq (brute strength and domination when motivated). He's a 6'8" Oscar with insane athleticism. He's MJ that cares about getting others invovled. He's Magic that can score.

He gets in his own way mentally from time to time, but no one has ever played the entire game of basketball as well as LeBron.

Is there anyway LeBron can or will leave now?

Doesn't he need to ride this out in Cleveland now?

Early rumors have him to the Lakers or the Heat.

But he is unstoppable.

But he is unstoppable.

When he wants to be.

He could take it up another level with MJ or Kobe's mentality.

James is 3/4 players rapped into one, Jordan IMO had better players around him than James especially last year.

I have Lebron at #2 right behind MJ. I hate MJ with a passion but I have never seen anyone like MJ. MJ did it all just like Lebron does. MJ is the GOAT. I'm not sure Lebron will ever pass him but he still has time.

If he leaves I think those are the best bets...but only if Durrant can be swayed as well. I don't see him going to L.A. without another proven stud in place. L.A. has a TON of cap space, so this could get interesting.

LeBron didn't go to college, Jordan had three years. His decision, but those first few years Cleveland had no chance to win. If compared to Jordan, it should be by age.
And Jordan's first few years in the NBA his team had no chance to win. It is a different era of sorts, but history shows that the variable that most shows a decline in ability comes with years in the league, not age. He is a much smarter player and picks his spots, but you can (slowly) tell that LeBron is declining in ability. Think about Kobe. Dude hasn't been Kobe in 3-4 years. You are saying LeBron will go another 4 years past where he is/was. Now if anyone is apt to do it because of his physical stature, it would be LeBron, but his game is predicated upon getting to the rim and taking punishment. At some point the blows add up, not to mention the added mileage of playing the amount of playoff games that he has played.

LeBron ain't leaving, yet. He, Wade, Melo and CP3 will time up their contracts and then leave together.

Now you want to talk about a team to root against.

Gothca.

I do think the lack of killer instinct label given to Lebron is incorrect. We're talking about a dude who has gone to 6 straight NBA Finals. His failures are magnified and because he doesn't have the success rate of MJ and Kobe the narrative is that he doesn't have a killer instinct. Maybe it is just me but making it to 6 straight Finals screams to me that he has some kind of killer instinct in him. With the exception of the Dallas Mavericks I think every time a Lebron led team lost in the Finals they lost to a better team. No one wins every time.

I'm just glad LBJ got another title. He has declined physically, and who knows how many more years he can do this at this level? This might have been his best shot for the rest of his career.
