Seems like the new UofL board is on training wheels.

Furthermore, if they discussed his employment during that closed session, they violated the Kentucky Open Meetings law.

Matt Jones mentioned that on KSR yesterday. They just can't get out of their own way. By breaking that law, what's it even mean? Like what could happen to them for breaking that law?

Ramsey: "I'm reading this letter to you because I wanted to let you know that I am offering my resignation"

Reporter to Bridgeman: "What did Ramsey say, did he offer his resignation?"

Bridgeman: "I don't know"

That's just sad. I feel bad for UL fans and supporters.

I don't know, but the reasons they can go behind closed doors are limited and fairly well defined. I wish I could say that there were penalties for this kind of thing. In the end, it's a public board of a public institution and the more time they spend hiding what they're doing, the more furious I get.

Kind of garbage deal. Ramsey made out like a king.

He gets paid $690,000 to be the worst university president ever. Hopefully he dresses up like "a Mexican" when he cashes his check.

Did I read right that he's staying on for one more year and then still getting paid for the first year he's out of the University?

He's still getting paid because he was under contract, but he's gone. Trustees appointed the university provost as interim president.

And he's still chair of the university foundation. Hopefully someone will figure that out.

So it sounds like they still have quite a mess on their hands with him, but the light is at the end of the tunnel.

While Ramsey certainly has had his issues, UofL is in a MUCH better place than it was when he took over, in all facets.

Sorry Deuce, I have to disagree. Are you still at UofL?
