June 20, 201610 yr While dining tonight I found out my niece's boyfriend was cruising by the pizza joint and saw the guy come out of the restaurant full of blood. Called 911. Pulled over to watch the rest unfold as he was afraid of what else could have happened. Wasn't sure what caused all of the blood. Small world.

June 20, 201610 yr Back to the story....apparently Hank Shouse has been fighting some demons from his tours in Iraq and Afghanastan. I read on FB from one of his friends that he saw some pretty heinous stuff over there and killed a lot of people. My guess is post traumatic stress will be a part of his defense. It's ashame our veterans come back a mess and have a tough time coping with society. Prayers go out to the Smith family, from what I understand he was a father and grandfather. You know me, I'm not one to question any veteran's experience, unless....and I take this very seriously, I can't put the story together to make it make sense. If these guys were in the class of the '80's, I have to question the Iraq / Afghanistan piece because the age doesn't work out. If the age did work out, this guy would have been a senior military guy, a career guy...stable in his military career. At his age, he would have been, probably at a minimum enlisted in the military over 18 years ago, even if you went back 10 years he would have been a relatively seasoned NCO. @lawildcat, what graduating class would these guys have been in ? I will call this one out and if proven wrong I will apologize all over the place, but that story doesn't work out for me.

I was never FB friends with Hank so I don't know his history. I am skeptical as well.

June 20, 201610 yr I'll go maximum age for Army, which is the oldest maximum entry age: That's 35 years old. Assuming graduating in 86 at age 18, that means that 17 years after graduating would be max entry date, that translates to 2003, earliest late entry year. Let's assume anywhere from 2003 - 2009 were the most violent years of both the sites mentioned that would lend themselves to lots of potential incidents. I will do some quick research and see if anything pops up domestically for that timeframe.....

I think both Donnie and Hank were sent away to military school at some point during high school. I just don't know much about their military "careers" after that.
