Shooting At Gay Night Club In Orlando

Featured Replies

The perp shouldn't have had the gun...how'd he get it? We tend to get into a litany of issues rather than just criminals will get guns. Maybe he bought it under the table or maybe he had straw buyer? Maybe he stole it? Maybe he bought it at a local gun show?

All of these issues have little to do with "gun grabbing" and more to do with accountability of guns in circulation.

And it shows why guns in the wrong hands are dangerous.

Right. Who has argued against that? That's why CC is such a great thing.

How do you get criminals to be accountable for the guns they have? Seems like an impossibility to me.

Definitely a shootout of drunks.

I'll be interested to see how the law treats this guy.

Do we know the guy with the CC was drinking? Could he have been a DD? Could he be a non-drinker?

According to the article, the man who returned fire will not be charged.

This. The only similarities between the two incidents is they were both at a nightlife establishment. Not even close to the same thing.

So we're gong to dismiss the fact that if one, two, 3-5 people in Orlando were carrying that that one of them couldn't have stopped the shooter there?

We have proven evidence here that someone with a weapon could save lives. Do you even still carry Deuce? You seem to be going the other way, makes me sad, ain't gonna lie.

This fact doesn't fit their narrative.

The incident in Orlando was a planned out, calculated attack on a group of innocent people.

This incident was two guys getting in a fight at a bar, and one being irresponsible with his firearm. In no way are they similar.

I do carry and believe in everyone's right to be able to do so, obviously. That doesn't mean I have to be adamantly opposed to anything that may involve gun regulation.

The people were innocent in Orlando because it was (yet another) pro victim zone. If people were allowed to protect themselves, some amount of human life would have been saved. I could show countless examples of people who are allowed to defend themselves, can and do save lives. It's up to everyone on here if they want to accept that fact or not. 96.2% of all mass shootings are in "gun free zones."

96.2% of all mass shootings are in "gun free zones."

Show me the proof where those shooters targeted these places specifically because they were Gun Free Zones.

Ever heard of a mass shooting at a gun show? A gun range?

Thats not proof...

You're a smart guy, come on, you have to know that these cowards are picking what they believe is a target of least resistance. They want big numbers with no one firing back until cops come. Then, many of the cowards turn the gun on themselves.

Show me the proof where those shooters targeted these places specifically because they were Gun Free Zones.

There is no proof. These people have a death wish. The vast majority of the time we focus on Whether the location was gun free, while ignoring that the shooter almost always has some sort of connection to the location.
