Shooting At Gay Night Club In Orlando

Featured Replies

Saw where he used a gay dating app and his ex wife also says he was gay.

The water continues to muddy with this guy. Was he a terrorist? A self-punitive fanatic?

It seems he knew these people and maybe was involved with some.

Seems like it will take a while until we know the full story. Pretty bizarre.

Condolences to the families of the victims and prayers for those who were injured and traumatized by this event.

She needs to be. Throw her in prison for whatever the maximum allows.

All she had to do was make a simple phone call.

Is she the ONLY family member that had a clue?

Not sure what the  are for, but to answer your question I don't know. If others knew, they need to be held accountable as well....

Or was he mentally ill struggling with his sexuality?

What do we really know about the father?

IMO he was a Terrorist, regardless of his sexuality or mental issues. This is Jihad and we are under attack.

Or was he mentally ill struggling with his sexuality?

That's what I've been wondering but your post about Disney has thrown me off.

No clear picture on this guy. Lots of different directions this can go.

Gay Pride week at Disney....

Cool.

Tampa Rays are having "Pride Night" on Friday. All tickets are $5 and proceeds to to a fund for victims.

Doesn't this just set up another target? Personally I try avoiding large gatherings anymore, too many crazies walking among us.

This is a false question dealing with probability.

The point is very few mentally ill people commit this kind of crime--less than 1% perhaps. So then we should takeaway all mentally ill people's constitutional rights and rights to confidentiality with their doctor. Abuse of power!

What percentage of people who rape women are men? So all men should be castrated.

What percentage of those who kill another through drunk driving are human? So we ban ALL humans from driving.

These examples I gave are better analogies to your question, "What percent of people who commit mass murder are mentally ill?" than that question is to the one I asked, "What percentage of mentally ill people become mass murderers?"

You can twist it, but it isn't the same question and it isn't honest analysis.

Point is we do not treat mentally ill people in this country with enough seriousness. Systems are broken and not enough resources.

We should have them get help, much like we should do with rapists, drunk drivers etc. Many times the jail systems won't even keep the mentally ill.

Cnn reporting he was casing Disney Springs, which is like a large shopping center.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but saw where Chick-fil-a was one of the places that opened up on Sunday to give food and drinks to the people waiting in line to give blood. Thought that was nice.

It could be. However, we simply can't live in fear of being out in public. Terrible way to live IMO.
