May 23, 201610 yr I'm pretty sure there have been a few High School State Champions that were Girls. From what I've read, there have been 4. None in what would be called traditional wrestling states. And all have been upperclassmen in the 106 lb weight class, where most of the boy competitors are typically young, and in some cases even middle schoolers (Ky's state champ this year at 106 was an 8th grader). I've been to national level high school wrestling events, and haven't seen any girl that could compete with guys. To my knowledge, no female has ever been even close to being nationally or even regionally ranked in high school competing against boys. At the college level, the lowest weight class is 125lbs. There isn't a girl wrestling that can beat even a bad college level 125lber. To put numbers to this. The first female state Champ was a girl from Alaska in 2006. Since then 3 other girls have won state titles (one in Massachusetts, one in Arkansas, and one more from Alaska). There are 14 weight classes, times 50 states for a total of 700 state champs per year. So out of 7000 state champs since 2006, exactly 4 have been girls, two of which are from the state with the lowest population and least number of schools competing in the sport, and none above 106lbs. So while the answer is yes, it's happened, it isn't going to happen enough to say that even the best girls can beat even average guys. No girl has ever won or even placed in a national level event. Winning a state championship is a great accomplishment. But a state championship means very little at the highest levels of wrestling. There are state champs that can't win matches at those events.

May 23, 201610 yr I can't tell you how much I think you're wrong that UConn women could beat most high school boys teams. Simply not happening. Not quick enough. Not strong enough. Not big enough. What you state is a fact. Any sport where athleticism or strength is key. Then it's hard for women to compete with men. It's not sexist. Just a fact.
May 23, 201610 yr Horse Racing (Both Jockey and Horse) This was the first thing I thought of. Rosie Napavrik (spelling) came to mind. She retired a year or two ago to start a family.
May 23, 201610 yr I bet Serena and/or Venus Williams in their prime could have beaten some men in Tennis. Maybe not the Federer's and Nadal's, but I'm sure there are plenty out there that they could have taken down.

May 23, 201610 yr I'm with Clyde on this one. @Jumper_Dad do you think any girls on the Uconn team would go D1 to any boys school? No. I'm not even sure they could play at D2 or D3 schools. Again, I have my story from college where me and a few other baseball players who were mostly just average high school basketball players, ran our top 25 girls D2 girls basketball team out of the gym. There wasn't a college team in the country any of us could have played hoops for at any level.

No...but how many boys high school teams never have had a D1 player, heck the majority of high school teams never send anyone at any level to play college ball. So you don't think the UCONN women's team could beat a single boys team in Kentucky or any state for that matter?

They are pretty good at poisoning a good for nothing man's food too when they finally get in the kitchen to cook. I mean seriously....what a totally moronic response.
