And barring a huge upset, going to be in the regional tournament each year. Enrollment at Dixie is almost greater the rest of the 34th combined.

I consider Conner to be a good job, clearly in the top half of the region.

How does #2 fit into the mix?

I do not know how having 500 kids at summer basketball camps v. 100 kids equates to success or a better job. But somehow it has to help and/or benefit. I could probably guess about 10 positives just as you can.

Where is this job posted as being open? KHSAA does not list it and I don't see it on the Boone County School web site as being open. I'm with an earlier post that Hicks coaches this team next year.

 

Summer camp is coming up and Conner usually attends the Georgetown team camp in June.

Premature. He may end up being the selection but it has not been determined yet. They have received some interest from all levels of candidates - JV to varsity to college coaches.

 

I'd imagine interviews will begin soon. When you're a public school there's a process you have to go through including formulating a committee. That's still being done.

College? Is this one of those volunteer assistants at a NAIA school? I think Conner is a good job but not to where you'll get a successful college coach. They should have had this process done earlier everyone knew this was Stellman's last year.

June is when teams start playing and putting in their system. I would want my coach in place before May. This is why I'm assuming it's a done deal. No inside info just looking how they handled the situation.

 

But it does seem like more and more schools are doing this.
